I drew my first alligator tag and went with friends down to Lake Seminole, where they had been successful in taking gators the first year a gator season was allowed. I was set up with a then- prototype Innerloc bowfishing head with an Innerloc Stainless Extreme broad head attached to the end. I had my sights set for ten yards, but when the gator was dropping out I decided it would be a clean hit, or a clean miss- my target was small. I loosed the arrow, and as luck would have it, struck the exact point of aim. At that distance we thought it was an eight-footer, but I was very happy with a seven- footer as my first gator!
