I was hunting on a food plot and this doe walked out of the woods. I wasn't sure if she was going to eat in the food plot or walk towards some other deer that were about 100 yards away. She was quartering away facing the other deer. I decided to shoot her then, while she was within bow range, so i pulled back. Anticipating her jumping my string I settled my 20 yard pin low on her last rib even though she was a 24 yards. I released and she tried to duck the arrow but she wasn't quick enough. Another 2 inches lower and the arrow would have passed through but it caught the bottom of her spine and she dropped. She weighed 107 lbs and was my 14th bow deer to date.
