Wake and Johnston county deer hunting

Hi everyone I recently moved to NC and looking for any recommendations on decent game lands. I’m in wake county and I’ve heard that Johnston county also has good deer populations. Can anyone help? I’ve hunted on a road called transis camp road but didn’t see anything all last season. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
