Can anyone tell me if Wyoming non resident tags are transferable if someone had to end up canceling out on a hunt?

They are not. I believe they may be donated to a charity though. Also, if a medical issue arises, you may defer the tag for one year. It does require a doctor for some of the paperwork.

Thanks for the info.

Hey Dennis, if you need any more info, feel free to give a shout. I deferred a moose tag last year because of a shoulder surgery.

This is great news on the medical side. I am planning to hunt Region G this year but got diagnosed with a torn meniscus after an MRI a couple of months ago. We are deferring surgery until it becomes an issue and the pain requires surgery. I got a cortisone injection and back now to my training. I hope to be hunting this fall in Wyoming.

This possible cancelation wouldn't be due to medical reasons. It would be due to my son taking a position with a new employer and not having any vacation time. I was just wondering if the tag could be transfered to someone else. It would be nice if Wyoming allowed it, that way my son wouldn't lose his deposit with the outfitter and the tag wouldn't go to waste. Won't know til June if we will draw tags and not sure if my son will get a job offer. It's a lengthy process towards getting an apprenticeship with the power company as a lineman. Thanks for everyone's input.
