Kayaking the Sangamon river, in Central IL yesterday & 150 yards into our trip we smell & then see, a dead doe on the bank, right beside the water. Get past it & the smell. Another 50 yards we smell another one. Start loooking around again & spot the dead 11pt buck in the pic, on the opposite bank.
6-7 mile trip down the river, we smell &/or see about 9 dead deer.....8^(
Another friend kayaked several mile directly up stream of area we covered, the week before. They also reported seeing/smelling several dead deer too.

I saw Don Higgins post that EHD is hitting pretty hard in areas as well. He had several pictures and a video kinda like what you shared. Sucks and is so frustrating. Hopefully it’s not a major outbreak like in 12 but so far it appears that it’s at least a significant outbreak.
