Well it's the start of a new season and was wondering if anybody is doing any good. The farmers are just starting to get in the fields which should help push the deer to the woods.

I had too much going on this past weekend to get out, but I plan on going on Saturday. The farmers are getting crops in and we have a cold snap coming. Best of luck to you!

It might be a good weekend between the frost on Saturday and the cold on Sunday. I checked a stand today and pulled my card.There was a couple decent bucks running at nite. The bad thing is a full moon is coming. My experience is the big boys run at nite with the full moon. Good luck.

Trying to get my buddy his first deer but we saw a decent 10 pointer and a 6 pointer this morning in northern Illinois.

Well is anybody see anything. There has been quite a few decent bucks taken the first 10 days in my area. I'm trying to stay out of my stands for a few more weeks but getting antsy. The temps are suppose to be below normal next week. We see.

Farmers are starting to get crops out in a hurry. Deer seem to be on the move with reports of several nice bucks being taken during the first week.

Went deer hunting yesterday afternoon in very windy conditions. Had 3 does come within 40 yards but with the swirling winds, they must have winded me and turned away. Rain started to fall about 45 minutes before end of shooting and all activity shut down.
