Hunting property

Hey just had a question regarding hunting properties in South Dakota. Recently we had some ground passed down to my father. It borders 160 acres of crp public land. The ground we have is 80 acres of pasture. We are looking to fence out about 10 acres and maybe plant some trees and food plot for deer. I know this isn’t much but we are hoping to create one of those spots far from the road that’ll attract wildlife. What are some faster growing trees, not necessarily cedar trees we could plant? Also have any of you planted some foodplots specifically for deer? I’m thinking of contacting the local NRD office and seeing what they suggest also. Thanks for the help.
