Yep, point creep no doubt. I got lucky and drew General special in the random draw with zero points.

I played it safe and burned 5.33 on general elk regular. Horn growth supposed to be good this year due to the above avg snowfall. Need redemption after a horrible virus ruined my Colorado hunt last year. Will head out August 25th so I can have 5 days to scout for wallow pods. Expect to put heavy emphasis on treestand hunting due to my bad wheels.

I managed to draw a general tag with 4 points. I was wondering if 4 would be enough this year.
I just looked at the 2023 odds report and feel very lucky to have drawn. Last year was 100% draw for the 851 applying with 4 points, this year its 8.74% for the 1133 applicants with 4 points. At my current age and if point creep keeps upping the minimum points needed to draw as it has, I have to wonder if I will ever draw again before I can't manage the mountains.

I believe in the rights of the residents but the way they cut NR after buying points for 20 years isn't right.Maybe NM and Wy residents shouldn't be able to draw tags in other states without paying 5X
