2B resident and hunter here.
I was out yesterday afternoon and although it was a beautiful day in the woods, I didn't see a single deer. I also saw no deer in any of the fields on the ride home which is very, very rare. Just one of those days I guess.
I will try to get out another evening or two this week with my recurve. I'll have my son out on Saturday for rifle.

We moved up to NY , it's a big 10 mile trip.
Cody shot a buck the last couple days of archery season, which ends the day before gun season....
You get 2 buck tags in NY, Cody has switched to an alternative weapon, I'm orange bowhunting.

Gene, I have a place I hunt thats 1.5 miles from the truck. Really love that spot, saw the biggest buck I've seen in Pa there. It's about one mile back, uphill and then 1/2 mile down hill back to the truck. I take 10x10 piece of tyvek and game bags. I know you done this with elk.

20 degrees here before dawn and a covering of snow on the ground. Dropped 2 guys at a blind and they have seen a couple legal bucks plus over a half dozen more, and its 10:30 now. Sun finally popped thru, although the snow is still falling down, and flags are flying at a right angle to the pole. They packed a lunch and are staying until 1 PM.

Yes, he is my son...not too little anymore... He really enjoys the YouTube thing, along with most anything outdoors related. He is running a trap line while he is at college.
