Morning all and Happy Thanksgiving Well, here’s another TG semi live. Hunting Montgomery Co (5D) today. Bsked is 300yds to the east of me. Was very windy at home but much better here I’m settled into a stand I call Midway looking NW. I just got settled 5 min ago for approx a 3 hr hunt

I’m sitting a travel route stand hoping to catch deer mostly coming from the west to ultra thick bedding areas to my NE and east.
I have a building uphill to the nw, 500 yds to the west to grass and a main rd, a creek to the south and thicket to the east.
Wind is Wnw at 5 to 10

Just had one of the nice little 8 pts go by at 20 yds. Nice g2 and 3s. In 2 yrs he may be a shooter. He came from the west, stopped at 40, turned and walked away, turned again and walked by Buck exited to the NE

8:17. All is quiet, have only seen the 8pt that walked by. Wind has shifted a little and is now more out of the North

It’s 8:55. Quiet as heck out here will probably pack it in here soon and head home to Thanksgiving. Hope everyone has a great day.

Go get ‘em Bill! This guy’s Been bedding within 150 yds of the blind. Looking forward to antlered rifle season. I’ll be using my PAW Blair Teton longbow:)
