I was happy they did away with the pink envelopes, but a couple of days ago I got this in the mail and it gave me the heeby-jeebys.

I was confused until I opened it and realized it's from LAST YEAR. It appears I forgot to write the amount on the check, totally my fault, but then it took them over a year to send it back? Good grief. Nice work Butler County Treasurer. I had so many tags last year I didn't even realize that I was missing one. I hope this is the last one of these I see... again.

And we thought it was just our imagination that we wanted pink envelopes banished. And the reasons they sucked just keep on coming. Good riddance to them.

Bring those pink envelopes back .. never had a problem with them , I don't like computers , plus I work mostly 7 days a week , I lost on getting a doe tag cause by the time I got off work they were sold out ....

The envelope didn't real bother me and I can live with the new system.
Now I'm going to sit back and see what the folks that didn't get the tag numbers they used to are going to say/do.
The new system is not working out the way they wanted it to.

Ed, I agree it is not perfect, however I think there are a lot of factors why we could not get the tags we used to. This is all new and guys panic bought with no real intentions on using them, but the harvest reporting will weed that out (if they report) and we will see. I do believe that the kinks will be worked out before next Aug. But the pink envelope rodeo needed ending.
