Multiple deer poacher caught in the act thanks to a resident calling in the troops.

POS had his 4yr old son in the truck with him while driving around shooting deer from the road. The resident heard the vehicle stop and shoot. The resident started yelling at them they were shooting illegally, more shots were fired. The shooter then drove out into the field where he got stuck in his truck. The NRO and area LEOs located him with three dead untagged deer in the bed.

Now hopefully the CA will throw the book at him, seize the truck, take his weapons, etc.

I will post a link here in a bit, Bowsite didn’t like the Facebook link

Try this one.

There have been multiple poached deer found this year, various stage of wasted meat. One not mentioned in the report was found last weekend by some friends of mine returning home from taking their kids out hunting responsibly. The buck had been gutted, but all they took with them was the skull cap and horns that had been cut out with a sawzall.

Coyotes had found the carcass and had fed on it as well as crows and a bald eagle.

Why gut the deer then leave it?

So frustrating, our old landlord found a big bodied buck 30 yards off the road last week with nothing but the head removed. I called it in and the warden came out and took a look, not sure it will do any good though.

I haven’t been to my spot since rifle season started, I may go today to at least check the cameras. It is located close enough to where the deer have been poached that it is highly likely this game slob drove by it. I plan on being there tomorrow at prime times to try to catch more road hunters.

I believe that the poachers that get caught are barely the tip of the iceberg. My brother bowhunted till dark a couple years ago. He got back in that same stand pre dawn the next morning. In the distance he could seen a white spot that was not there when he left last night. After an uneventful morning sit, he checked out the white spot. It was a deers belly. The head had been removed.

Should add trespassing and destruction of property to the charges also. But so much of the problem in my opinion is the judges not assessing the maximum penalties.

Some judges and county attorneys just don't take game stuff to be serious. If it's in your county make some calls or visits.

In india…

Declare : The Two-Way To protect the animals, forest guards have been given the go-ahead to use lethal force if necessary. One minister has told rangers to "shoot at sight."

There are people who believe they can do what they want. They are raised with f-the-man mentality. Just look how popular Charles Beaty's video and pod cast are when he talks about all the poaching he did. Popular to be an outlaw when there are no consequences.

I was told by a CWO that if they even just cut backstraps out they can't charge them with wanton waste.I heard awhile back someone in another state posted signs that were like Deer hunting 500.00 per day and when someone trespassed the judge had to make them pay that amount due to the sign.
