I would imagine they will send one . That's what they did when they tested a dead deer on my place for EHD.

But is there a place for hunter’s to take deer they harvest to be checked ?

If you’re in CWD zone call the DNR district office , or if you’re anywhere in the state call the DNR district office where you’re at
It only takes a minute to dissect and cut out the retro pharyngeal lymph glands that need to be sent for testing
