Hey all. Curious. Where in your beautiful state would you say the biggest deer live ? North south east or west ? Same question with the highest numbers ?

While a big buck could show up in most areas of WV, the best bet would be the four south-west counties that have been bow only for years--McDowell, Logan, Mingo, and Wyoming counties.

The counties mentioned above are steep hilly terrain. They’re known for producing large bucks as they are bow hunt only. Population for the most part is dispersed and low.
