New in the area

Looking to go hunt one of the 4 bow hunt only county next fall. Would like to do a 7 day hunt completely mobile with my pack. As i will be completely self sufficient, would like to find an area with the least road system, difficult yo acces other than on foot.

Thank you. I notice on my map that most ridgeline seems to have a trail on top. Is this a major trail system?

I’m not sure how well it’s developed now or if it’s even a trail. That might be the county line between Wyoming and Mingo county ? It’s been a while since I’ve been there but it’s a lot of land to get away from most people .

You could call the district biologist out of the Beckley office for more current details . His name is Todd Dowdy .
