Actually it seemed more like she was saying lets pray that what we do is what God wants us to do. That it is a part of his plan. It it Christian belief that God is in control of the affairs of those that believe in him and pray for his will to be done. Nothing radical in any way about what Sarah Palin said> that is unless you are a Godless, immoral, left wing liberal.

If I remember correctly that statement was not only given by Abraham Lincoln but by one John F. Kennedy. Again It seems that Kennedy was a Democrat. Of course I may be wrong but Perhaps Democrat does not mean the same thing it did when Kennedy said that. Sarcasm intended.

John F. Kennedy said almost exactly the same thing and the democrats cheered when he said it. Teddy Roosevelt said almost the same thing. A few years ago it was perfectly fine to use God in a sentence but that time has come to an end. They even want to take God off the money.

One thing I gleened from Gibson's interview with Palin is that she is knowledgable, a skilled politition, and an engaging speaker.

She skillfully directed Gibson away from his question about her lack of international experience. A lesser person (Zero)would have "uuummm...uuuuhhhh...hummmm...let me make this perfectly clear" embelished (lied) about their experience.

Also, for a second I thought she might be a religous nut job when Gibson asked her about her comments that "Iraq was God's plan". However, as she filled in the details and referenced the historical origin (Abraham Lincoln) of her comments, she put my mind at ease.

Last but not least, When asked for a yes or no answer, she instead, gave her answer in a lengthy dissertation which will minimize the out of context sound bites by the media and bloggers (yupik).

IMHO Palin will own the unscripted debates.

I listened (in person) this afternoon outside Fairbanks with the Alaska pipeline as a backdrop, as Gibson interviewed her again, this time on energy policy.

Watch for it tomorrow on the news. ABC may try to edit it to suit their purpose, but she tuned him right up....!

God is at work every minute of the day in the lives of every person. Good, bad...makes no difference. He is in control of all things at all times. Even with free will, nothing we do is a surprise to Him. So, yes, the war is His will and He will be glorified through it.

You can question Him...but be prepared for answers you never considered.

OK, let me preface this by saying I am a McCain/Palin supporter. I tried to watch Yupiks link with an open mind, to fairly evaluate Palin's response to the "God" question. Also I am not a very religous person, I attend church mainly for weddings and funerals!

That said, I thought she did a very good job of clarifing her answer. She comes across as very intelligent and confident. If the Dems are going to hang their hat on Palin self destructing, they are in big, big trouble.
