Spector..Take a look at the diamond edge. I bought one for my twin boys and it's an incredible bow. Draw length adjust easy and its very fast and quiet. Its definitely worth a look. Good Luck. $300 set up.

I bought my wife an Ignition the week she found out she was having our son. She shot the bow 3 times and it has hung on the wall since. Im selling it for $215.00 if anyone is interested. It is brand new and I have all the paper work books and hat that came with the bow.. Might save you some money if your interesed. I have pics as well.

Both of my boys have Ignitions as well as my nephew who just last year moved up to an adult bow. My 10 year old shot his first deer this year with his. It is a grown-up bow in a youth size. The negative is you have to buy different cams to adjust draw length and new limbs to increase poundage. At this point we own a set of 30, 40, and 50 pound limbs and have 19", 20", 21", 22", and 23" cams. This works well if you have kids of different ages as you are able to swap parts. Mathews does a good job of not changing this bow from year to year so new parts fit older models.
I prefer this bow to the ones on the market with adjustable draw length because of the control on poundage. Most of the adjustable bows you can only increase the poundage a significant amount by lengthening the draw. If kids work hard they can get to legal draw weights at a young age and with a very short draw length.
To me it is worth the money and I am sure the whole package of limbs and cams will be valuable on the used market when we are finished with them.
Let me know if you have any specific questions and I am happy to answer them.

I second the Diamond Edge, my son has had his for two years. Easy to adjust draw length, and shoots well.

hey spector you better jump all over that ignition bow aggieland has to sell. Thats an awesome bow. I watched my wife have pass thru shots on Gemsbok and Kudu. 42lb maxed out. shooting a 100gr magnus stinger on FMJ arrow. She loves that bow.
