Uh...if I were at a friend's or family member's home and someone attacked them or their family I would defend them with all the intensity I would my own immediate family without even thinking about it.
I don't need some bureaucrat to say I can. I just will. If they want to put me in jail for that then go ahead. I would expect NO LESS from anyone else if it we me or my family that were attacked.

Having lined in Missouri all my life, I've had this mind set since forever.
Is there such a thing as excessive deadly force?

Why was this something that ever had to be expanded? There should be no law saying you can do something that is a fundamental right to start with. Commonsense tells all humans to protect their friends and family. Its sad that we live in a day where you need a law to say it's ok.
With that said I am glad they expanded it.

This is a good thing, and as a Missourian, was needed to avoid court time.
Seems a liberal lawyer said the "visitor" had NO right to use force since it was not his property to defend.
I would defend others and fully expect my friends to do the same.
