We lost another one of the good ones last night. My father-in-law, Lloyd F. Wilbur, Sr., passed peacefully looking out his favorite window at the mountains of Montana he loved so much. Lloyd served on the USS Salt Lake City during WWII. He was 89 and married for 68 years, has three wonderful children, 6 grandkids and 5 great grandchildren. He loved to hunt and fish, especially fly fishing for big rainbows. I’m proud to have been part of his family for the last 44 years. Rest in peace Lloyd.

May he rest in peace. When a son-in-law has such high praise for his father-in-law both must be class acts.

God Bless and RIP sir! May God help the family to heal through these very hard times.
I too lost My Best Friend 2 months ago. A WW2 vet that served with Patton. Herb was My Best Friend and my first adult friend I ever had. 47 years though I am thankful for.
Sorry for your loss and for your families very difficult times. Prayers from Illinois!!

Lost my father-in-law in 2005, he was a WWII vet. I can relate to your father-in-law, I hunted deer with mine in Northern Virginia years ago, and we were always close for a son-in-law & father-in-law, he was like a second father to me, having lost my father in 1989. We are losing a great generation as each day goes by, may your father-in-law rest in peace.
