I love it when the little guy beats up on the big guy.
Having been born in Fargo, I have a rooting interest. Yet what tiny FCS school North Dakota State has accomplished the past five seasons is simply amazing! Five straight wins over Big School teams.
2010 NDSU at Kansas..... Won, 6-3
2011 NDSU at Minnesota..... Won, 37-24
2012 NDSU at Colorado St... Won, 22-7
2013 NDSU at Kansas St..... Won, 24-21
2014 NDSU at Iowa St..... Won, 34-14
When David plays Goliath, I'm cheering for David every time.
Even though the 2013 win over K-state was a fluke, they are definitely legit.
I'm with you Nva. You and I were born in the same hospital in Fargo.
Reminds me of the movie Twins....lol
Is NDSU the next BSU? :0)
No. They'll never be an FBS school. The North Dakota market could never support the financials of being a big school program. Not even close!
Yet that's precisely what makes their success so amazing and admirable.
I wondered the same thing, Sarge. Nva probably has the correct answer.
They could still be "spoilers". :0)
You mean the back to back to back FCS Natl champs?
Iowa is up next in 2016!
Hail the Bison!
KState was no fluke. They. Ran it down the Wildcats throats in the 4th quarter.
K-State was a fluke. K-state had a completely new offensive backfield and defensive line.
NDSU was returning practically their entire national championship team.
It is the only time in the last three years that it would have even been a close game.
K-State got outplayed, and lost the game.
Henry,
Every year college teams lose players to graduation and have to rebuild. Over-coming such routine obstacles is what you have to do. NDSU does that, obviously. It's no fluke that they beat K-State!
Fluke - a chance happening. NDSU happened to play K-State when K-State had inexperience in essential positions and NDSU was starting a nearly intact national championship team.
It was a fluke, but they beat K-State because they got one more score that day.
Not a fluke HA. Just "timing"
A 'Fluke' is the Immaculate Reception or something similar that cannot be foreseen.
Having an inexperienced 0-line is no fluke. It's just part of the game.
41 yards rushing for Kstate was not a fluke. It was a tough nosed gritty, better conditioned NDSU defense.
