Is it time to end the Cuban Embargo?

trublu, he decided to start a topic and tell everything he knew on it. He finally succeeded.
The troll makes no less sense when he says nothing.
This was an attempt to see what your thoughts were without my ideas because surely my ideas would lead to you attacking me.
A valid argument is that we've expressed our thoughts absent your ideas because the recurring theme in your postings has been to posit other people's ideas as your own.
Seeing as that amounts to an endless regurgitation of the same liberal musings from HuffPo, DU, Kos, et al and seeing as those failed ideas have been debunked, shredded and shown to lack any merit you should hardly be surprised at the obvious outcome.
I'm torn between whether you are so colossally arrogant that you felt your deception would go unnoticed or if the answer is as simple as you're just not very bright.
One could also fairly argue that your presence here has constituted an attack given that your intent has been as transparent as what we were promised the Obama administration was going to be. You haven't come here for spirited debate you came here to poke a stick in the metaphorical eye of the vast population of this forum, so please dispense with the faux outrage.
If you have any outrage at all is over the spectacular level of failure you've achieved here (and yes, you did build that).
You are incapable of having a debate without ad hominem attacks on someone who thinks differently from you.
Predictable self-serving screed; we don't know what YOU think, we know what the liberal blogs you cut-and-paste from think. I'm starting to think that perhaps the last thought that truly originated within you was whether to reach for the binkie or the blanket.
That red glow is the sun setting on your time here Sparky.
Maybe we should cut him some slack. If he doesn't cut and past, he is liable to be likened to obama or biden when they go off the teleprompter. As soon as he does that, they quit paying him the astroturf fees.
After a while, even poor reruns loose their entertainment value.
I don't charge for that, by the way.
Actually there is a fee associated with your "service".
You waste time and tax credulity on a regular basis. You recirculate tripe that would insult the intelligence of an astute middle-schooler and you play the victim card with a regularity that would make Mssrs. Jackson and Sharpton blush.
You're welcome.
You've worn out yours.....
"I'm torn between whether you are so colossally arrogant that you felt your deception would go unnoticed or if the answer is as simple as you're just not very bright."
I'm not torn. The two are not mutually exclusive. One can be a colossally arrogant yet be as sharp as a sack of wet mice. Let me refer you to Exhibits 1 and 2.
No, it ultimately only helps a bad regime. Cuban Americans already sent enough money to that island.
They arent flying to cuba because, unfortunately, the cubsns are putting the Western democracies to shame, by having sent 165 heath care workers to west africa and have announced they will be sending another 300 in the next few weeks.
Looks like we may end up having to say thank you to the Cubans if Ebola doesn't make a big splash in north america
Kind of scary to think that people live in a country so bad that they will go to the ebola area just to get out of Cuba.
Samaritan's Purse has 350 workers in Liberia.
Is it time to end the Cubin Embargo, OK guy's Time to go another direction. Let's just make Cuba the 51 state. I want to go bass fishing there and see the Havana Night clubs like they were in the 50s. What amasses me is all the people with money and interest on that island let a two bit dictator take over. Just shows how stupid Castro was they could have made a fortune on on tourist money alone. But that what happens when you let uneducated thugs run countries!
I actually believe that it is time to change how we deal with Cuba. I don't know enough to say exactly how, but I think we could have an impact on island politics and force them to free their people if we were interacting with them. If thousands of Americans were entering and leaving Cuba every day, the Cuban people would soon no longer tolerate conditions as they are there.
It is my impression that this position is opposite of what Cuban-Americans think, so I say it with caution.
HA/KS that is exactly what i was thinking. I don't however understand you sec. statement. Please explain!
Pat c. I am with you. The two times I was there it was great. Bass s fishing has diminished in quality due to over commercial fish for food to stay alive and no management practices. It is a cool place and could be so much better with a larger influx of the tourist business
Some great resorts there that could be even better
Pat, which second statement?
It is my impression that this position is opposite of what Cuban-Americans think, so I say it with caution. I don't get this.
I have the impression that people who have escaped Cuba want the US to keep the embargo in place to keep pressure on the regime. Is that not true?
No your right i just had your post bass acwards. I get what you are saying now.
Short answer...NO. As long as they're communists they can rot in hell.
My point is that I think it may be time to end the embargo, but since the Cubans who are here probably disagree with me, I should be careful with that opinion.
When they overthow and hang the Marxist/Communist butchers they have as leaders then maybe we can talk.
Until that time **** 'em.
