For those that don't know; LA is a whole different world from Nor Cal
The SF peninsula- Pelosi district...is a whole different world too.
I live in the east bay for the wonderful traffic....took me 20 minutes to go 3 miles home last night...sigh
Seriously, some of the best moderate weather in the world.....and lots to do...close to everything- beaches, mtns, skiing, fishing etc [tho not much hunting] if you can do it in off traffic hours its not bad
The answer is: The L.A. Times never ran such a story.
"If this doesn't open your eyes nothing will!" So begin most of the e-mails that readers forward to us. Though the endings vary -- a typical sign-off is, "Send copies of this letter to at least two other people. 100 would be even better" -- the bulk of the note always consists of 10 "facts" that they are told came from the L.A. Times. The hoax e-mail goes like this:
1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card." I didn't copy the whole list just the first paragraph.
This should go a long way towards assuaging the white guilt you must drag along with you every day.
Nothing new under the sun. The white man did not invent barbaric behaviors, nor is immune to them. Man is man, always has been and always will be.
"but they did it too...." is the worse argument ever. Pure rationalization. I used to try it with my parents... my kids tried it with me.
Have you ever hated anyone? I suspect most here believe strongly that we need to defend our borders and our sovereignty for a variety of reasons none of which have the least bit to do with hating anyone.
"I'm not saying whether it's right or wrong to allow immigrants in to our nation. I'm simply saying that your hatred of immigrants is unjustified."
Oh please..... That's the best you can come up with? I think for the most part were are all descendants of immigrants from the 19th early 20th century immigration boom.
Here's the thing. They came here LEGALLY. Get it? They didn't break the law. Special accommodations were not made. For two years, Zero told us he didn't have the authority to at unilaterally. Now, "by Lord it's a miracle", he has the authority. But then laws and the constitution are more a set of guidelines then hard set laws for governance. Ignore when convenient.
Know what's really ironic? These folks are fleeing a country that does not recognize the rule of law. And seeking asylum in a another country that is choosing not to as well. If I were one of the five million law breakers I would be extremely concerned about El Presidentes action. EO's can be overturned as unconstitutional by the SCOTUS. Which I'm betting this one ends up there.
The issue isn't with IMMIGRANTS. We ALL come from immigrants.
The problem is with I L L E G A L immigrants. Illegal as in people who broke/are breaking our laws to come and stay here.
ANYTHING that rewards this type of behavior is wrong and will only serve to encourage even MORE of the same behavior. Recent history gives all the proof of this that any honest person with an IQ higher than a turnip's should ever need.
So please, I'm asking you to be honest not make it seem like this is about immigrants which it's NOT and never has been.
Quite frankly anyone who would do this is either really ignorant of the real issue or is...and here we go again...a liar.
Illegal immigration makes It justified, immigration is not a problem. Your ignoring the fact that they're illegals thus unjustified. Matter of fact you're saying its justified by calling them immigrants and not illegal immigrants.
Based on what you have said and taking you at you implied word that all immigrants are the same, illegal or not, then should we have ANY borders at all?
And then tell is why we should assume that these people will magically start following our laws NOW, when their history proves otherwise? How does rewarding illegal behavior make the situation better?
