Leftists have succeeded in moving us the final stretch from being a nation of God-given rights, morals, and laws to being a nation of rights defined by the state, immorality, and government by decree.
Pendulums tend to swing, but the character our nation and its people have lost are not easily renewed.
At some point, the president will be a person with different views from obama, but with the same political powers. How to control illegals? Require all citizens to be licensed. Control illegal (untaxed) financial transactions? Require government involvement in all transactions. Prevent illegals from getting government benefits, health care, etc? More government control over all of them.
The stage has been set for transformation of our society from a free society to a totalitarian society.
