Gerrymandering? That's SOP by the Dummycrats here in Illinois

I have found that it's gerrymandering only when the other party is doing it....

What are you saying, Spike? You want to put that control into the hands of the feds?

Or do you want to adopt the Canadian system "Canada's commission members are all nonpartisan — they're mostly judges, political scientists, or retired civil servants."

That combination is likely to help us elect representatives who will rein in the government!

Spike, your link advocates that we give up apportionment to a commission like that in Canada - an "independent" commission of government workers and academics with all of this overseen by Washington instead of by the states. Did you read your link?

Either picking their voters or changing their core beliefs to fit them (like Romney..;^)) seems the same.

Politicos will always find ways to scam the system.

I am not necessarily opposed to gerrymandering.

Do we have a Republic or a democracy? If it is a democracy, then gerrymandering is wrong. If it is a Republic, then gerrymandering may be one way to preserve the vote of everyone, not just the majority.
