Bubonic plague in CO

The plague is actually more common than most people think and that part of the country in particular.

I've been told prairie dogs carried the plague for 35 years. One 5 mile long town I used to spend a lot of time turning into pink fog was eradicated by the plague. It sure as hell wasn't my shooting.

Didn't make national news but it was confirmed in a prairie dog town new Winslow, AZ a few weeks ago.

Yep, it's a fact of life here... it doesn't get out of hand, don't skin your prairie dogs, leave 'em lay for the coyotes...

As Steve stated, just part of life here. every once awhile near a development you'll see guys in bio suites dusting prairie dog holes with a white powder to kill off the fleas. They use to do this at the dog town right here by my house till they moved or buried over all the prairie dogs.
