Never made it to Cheyenne Mountain during my 21 years service, but I met a few guys over the years that were assigned there. Interesting indeed.
One young fellow of particularly low enlisted rank spent two years crawling around between the tunnel/rock walls and the finished interior walls tightening bolts and turnbuckles. Important work but not exactly challenging. I understood why he wanted to move on. lol

Sarge, I have been in some of those places. Have no desire to spend much time in them! The buildings are interesting, though.
