This is the most unheard of thing I've ever heard of!! What is happening to this once great nation?

The Pentagon is rushing to get ahead of Congressional action that will restrict transfers!! The Pentagon is working AGAINST the will of Congress! Intentionally!!

The Legislative Branch had BETTER start taking back it's Constitutional authority. And soon!

From the Daily Beast: Retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens said that the government should compensate Guantanamo Bay detainees who are still being held after posing no imminent threat to the United States. "I by no means suggest that every Guantanamo detainee, such as those who have been convicted by a military commission, is entitled to compensation," Stevens said. Currently there are 57 inmates that have been approved for transfer out of the 127 total still remaining in the prison. The Pentagon is trying to expedite this process ahead of impending congressional action that could restrict transfers.

We elected Obama twice. A ROCK is smarter than that.

We should pay Gitmo prisoners with a bacon wrapped .45 between the eyes. If they ask for volunteers to do it they'll have a waiting list. We're going to have to do it eventually, why not now before we risk anymore military lives capturing the bastids again?
