I can't count the number of times I have driven by that place on my way to my hotel on Rt. 75 from the airport. Where I often stayed I could see the Georgia state line.

I am attending some meetings on a Navy base in Va Beach this week. Very locked down from what I remember from pre 9/11. I used to get on these bases without much of anything years ago and now I'm escorted. I don't see how these nuts do this.

The pics make it look like a recruiting office...disturbing in the extreme.

It was recruiting offices and of course another gun free zone.

In an ironic twist CBS had a big story this morning about the muslim compound in NY called Islamberg and how they faced threats from a nut in TN.

Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez is the murderer. A Muslim jihadist.

That's a shock. Figured it would have been a Methodist Lay Minister.

16-Jul-15
We should arm our soldiers even at home.

sundowner, shocked

i was thinking amish, again

no doubt it will be labeled domestic terrorism, once again swerving around the problem

Time to close all the mosques...deny flying of the ISIS flag...ban headbags.

Seems to be the proper response a la SC and the Confederate flag.

yep, definately domestic

nothing to see or hear

Prayers for the victims' families, I hope there are no children left fatherless by this domestic terrorist citizen

Muslim terrorist...Plain and simple! Where's the outrage Obay? That's what I thought!

RIP to our American Marines and a true war hero that was killed today!

Ike, please, your microaggressions may make some people uncomfortable

soon enough these attacks will be more commonplace, everybody will become desensitized, and life will go on

and please, like, just say "m-word t-word" from now on?

Wait! Wait!

This could not possibly be an act of terrorism.

Just you wait. President Walking Eagle will soon have a press conference and claim just that!

EXCLUSIVE BREAKING: Islamic State Account Tweets Warnings About Chattanooga Moments Before Shooting Began

It was not domestic terrorism. It WAS Islamic (ISIS)terrorism abetted by the policies of TBVIEC's great choice.

I remember in 1979 during the Iranian Crisis, the USA deported all Iranian students in this country. Carter was still President. That needs to be done now. All Muslims need to go back to where they came from. They can go voluntary or be forced. I'm good with either way.

Michelle Malkin helped the president with his choice of words:

Lightning strikes are “heartbreaking circumstances.” Systemic assassinations of our troops is an act of war, fool==> https://t.co/qcDmu0ADuP

obama statement after the incident: Michelle and I would like to extend our warmest wishes to Muslims in the United States and around the world celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr,” the statement reads. “As Muslims mark the end of the month, they are reminded that Ramadan is a time to reflect spiritually, build communally, and aid those in need. While Eid marks the end of Ramadan, it marks a new beginning for each individual — a reason to celebrate and express gratitude on this holiday.”

I just saw our muslim-in-chief's canned response. He barely stayed awake through it.

When he sang Amazing Grace a couple weeks ago, that HAD to be on a teleprompter, right???

Bowbender... kudos.

Not only this instance, but Emperror Obama's new bestest friends, the Iranians, have killed over 500 of our military, provided weapons and IEDs to Islamists, and financially banked terrorism.

Our young men and women certainly do matter!

"FBI agent Ed Reinhold said Abdulazeez had "numerous weapons" but would not give details. He said investigators have "no idea" what motivated the shooter, but "we are looking at every possible avenue, whether it was terrorism, whether it's domestic, international, or whether it was a simple criminal act.""

since they're looking at avenues, I'll guess simple criminal act

17-Jul-15
This needs to stay at the top...Total BS, how many more of our guys and gals in uniform have to die on home soil due to 'work place' violence, 'criminal acts' or other BS this administraition can throw at us...

BS, a Muslim is a Muslim, no matter how PC you want to be...There's a problem in that! Send 'em home and stop 'importing' em...

I think a couple congress men from Tennessee are going to introduce a bill Monday to arm the military. They say the biggest drawback will be the military. The big officers don't want to do it. It will take another killing spree. The military have their own rules that must be followed no matter what federal law says. Obama could issue an executive order that would allow the military to be armed, want to bet he won't?

From: Owl
17-Jul-15
George HW Bush was the one who disarmed the military. Just for those keeping score.

17-Jul-15
No, try Clinton, believe it was 92...

From: Owl

It was 92. But it was Bush in every report I've read and heard.

Clinton was sworn in January of 1993.

"Steven Bucci, a military expert for The Heritage Foundation who served 28 years in the Army and retired in 2005 with the rank of colonel, also told TheBlaze Tuesday afternoon that Clinton is not to blame.

“I think you are barking up the wrong tree if you are looking to put blame on someone for disarming the military,” said Bucci, when asked if Clinton was responsible. “I think that’s kind of a bogus story.”

“We have never had our soldiers walking around with weapons all the time, other than in combat zones,” he added, noting only Military Police have had that authority."

no reason to arm the military out in public

FIX the problem!

One guy is making me eat my words, kinda, but until the m-word is placed front and center it's just a swerve

and this "We spend billions of dollars to stop the terrorists, trying to stop them overseas, stop them from coming in the country. But we do little to counter violent extremism in the United States," he said."

again lacking specific descriptors that would indicate our true commitment to fixing the real problem

I was in the USAF in the early '70's. We were not allowed to have firearms in the BOQ nor in residences in on base housing. Firearms had to be checked in and out with the Air Police at the armory.

That's one of the reasons I moved out of the BOQ and Off Base almost immediately after I got to my mission base in Rapid City.

So it's hardly Bush 1's fault.

Read the book Agent Storm and you will hear just how many Islamic extremists are living in the US, England, Denmark, etc. Its pretty scary and this is only the beginning. In MA we just had an ISIS loyalist arrested before he could carry out his mission. The ONLY reason he was caught was because his father is a Boston police officer and he turned him in. The FBI had no knowledge of him. I guess we dont seem so crazy owning the black guns in our own country. I guess nothing was learned since the Fort Hood shooting. Hello Govt are you awake?!
