The “Council on American and Islamic Relations,” or CAIR, peddled a story about a poor guy who had converted to Islam and was being persecuted by the evil American government because of Islamophobia!! Darn you racism and bigotry!! Oh wait wait… yeahp, PJ Media has discovered that the very same dude has been arrested in Turkey for being a part of an ISIS sleeper cell!!
Just a coincidence.
Here’s his story from the idiot Chris Hayes at MSNBC who totally swallows it hook, line and sinker, after all Islamophobia is rampant in America for no reason whatsoever! Jerks! All of us!!

A man, who just two years ago was the poster boy for the far-Left media’s attacks against the U.S. government’s no-fly list for “unfairly” targeting Muslims, finds himself and several family members sitting in a Turkish prison — arrested earlier this month near the Turkey-Syria border as members of an ISIS cell.

His story got considerable media attention when his CAIR media representatives here pushed the story that Long wanted to return to his native Oklahoma from his current home in Qatar to visit his ailing mother but couldn’t because he was on the TSA’s no-fly list. They said his case represented institutional “Islamophobia.”

Long’s cause got international attention when Glenn Greenwald published an article at The Guardian saying that Long was “effectively exiled from his own country.” Kevin Drum of Mother Jones branded it the “Kafkaesque World of the No-Fly List.” CAIR has 22 article entries related to Long’s case on its website.
Don’t wrack your brains too much liberals, I know how your idiotic ideology can get out of this one – just say that it was the Islamophobia that drove Saadiq Long into the loving, tolerant, liberal arms of ISIS! It was all our fault!!
The real question is this – where is the rest of the media on this story? They keep telling us that we have nothing to fear from moderate Muslims, and then refuse to report on these stories. You would think it MIGHT discredit CAIR a little bit, but only if Americans know about it…"

How do you convict a Pakistani terrorist of anything?
Forget airborne PTSD or poverty. Here's a great new terrorist defense. Imran Khawaja was an ISIS Jihadist who liked guns and severed heads. Non-Muslim severed heads. (via Religion of Peace)
In one section of footage, played before a hushed court, Mr Altman said Khawaja could be seen picking up severed heads from the back of a flatbed truck and saying: 'Heads. Kuffar (non-Muslims). Disgusting.'
Khawaja, who has close ties to 'executioner' Jihadi John, faked his own death to sneak back into the UK and is now facing years behind bars.
His death was widely reported - but on the same day Khawaja was arrested by specialist counter-terrorism officers at Dover with his cousin Tahir Bhatti, 45.
Khawaja, who also had the nicknames 'Barbie,' Imz,' 'Iron, and 'Cashew,' was a senior member of terrorist group Rayat Al Taweed (The Banner of Divine Unity).
'Following his departure, during messaging with his sister over different messaging platforms, Khawaja made it clear that he was in Syria for Jihad, that this was the path he had chosen, and that he wished to die as a martyr', said Mr Altman.
Khawaja told his sister, Azmeena, that he had travelled to the Middle East 'for Allah...first.'
'He told her he was happier than he had been in the UK, which was 'Shaitan dirty (devil dirty),' Mr Altman said.
'He told her he had no time to waste; that he knew Islam and Jihad 'is my way' and he could not sit and argue with his family 'who don't practice dis deen (religion).'
He later added: 'Jihad will remain fresh and green as long as raindrops fall from the sky.'
His lawyer's defense? Stupidity.
In his defence Henry Blaxland QC said the jihadi 'poster boy' had a low IQ - the lowest 12% of the population.
So what does that actually mean?
The UK IQ average is 100. Henry doesn't specify his client's IQ, but it's probably in the low 80s. But that doesn't mean much since a number of Muslim countries have average IQ scores around that.
Assuming that our friend here is Pakistani, the IQ average there is 84. Even if he scored an 81, he's not that much of an outlier. (I've seen a claim that the Pakistani UK IQ average is 86 (specifically 85.62.) Not sure if it's a valid source.)
Now IQ, its measurement standards and validity, are complicated issues that I have no interest in getting into. (Personally I don't believe it's a comprehensive meaningful measurement of intelligence.) But in this case, we have a lawyer attempting to make use of it as a defense for a terrorist when that's just the average number for someone from his background.
If having an IQ in the 80s is exculpatory, then how do you convict a Pakistani terrorist of anything?
