In 2008 and 2012 a LOT of people voted for the free stuff. The same thing seems to be happening this time around.

Whoever wins the Republican nomination better be prepared to talk to the adults listening (such as they are) and explain the simple truths.

I suppose if you're a 20 something who hasn't really paid much attention to the world economies or history it's easy to hear what Bernie (and Hillary) are selling and think "sounds good to me!". But the math here is not hard.

I believe that it was Margaret Thatcher that said: "The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money."

I think most of the people who have a preference for Cruz (or Rubio) over Trump, don't really have a problem with what Trump is SAYING. (At least the people I know fit that category)

The problem is more with what they are worried he will DO that contradicts what he has been saying of late. They best way for him to win over conservatives, or at least have them accept him as an acceptable candidate in the General Election, is to convince them that he means what he says.

Well, maybe with a lot of what he says, but there's also things he says that I have a big issue with. Single payer for instance.

Wasn't Obama the one that promised voters that they would get all this free stuff? Look at our country's debit. Businesses are getting out because the government is taxing them out of existence. Now, Bernie and Hildebeast want to give people more and tax more to pay for their new programs. Yup, they are that stupid and so are the people that vote for them.

Romney was criticized by Republicans and democrats for saying the democrats have 47% that will never vote Republican due to free stuff. That was one of the things that cost him the election. He was 100% correct but it wasn't PC to say it. Now the figure is much higher. Margaret Thatcher was right.

So.....where's all this "free stuff"? And who gets it? All I've gotten is the shaft!

Bernie has his followers convinced that all of his free stuff will only come at the expense of the 1% and will have no effect on the lower, middle or upper class citizens. I work with a Bernie supporter, maybe 2, and they are convinced that their taxes will not go up if he is elected. They are actually of the understanding that they will benefit from the 1%. If others try to explain that the 1% is not where all the money will be coming from, they say that is just made up by the 1% because they don't want to pay any taxes. Since I have to work with both of them 1 on 1 often at work, I try to keep politics out of our conversations.

One is positive that Bernie will beat Hilldog, I can't disagree with him there, there is no reason that he shouldn't be able to beat her with her baggage. I keep telling him that if Bernie starts to take control and looks to win the nomination, he will back out of the race for some reason, whether he claims an illness or family illness.....or he will be found dead somewhere. I tell him that Hilldog is capable of all kinds of crap, if her threats don't work for him to drop out, he will probably end up dead in some roadside ditch. She will not bow out gracefully!

I beg to differ with you guys.

I do think it is possible that the folks of NH are fed up with lying politicians of zero substance....saying whatever it takes to get elected.

Bernie has never changed his stripes.....and although I disagree with his philosophy, he has never wavered on his belief.

Could it be that Dems are as sick of these crooks as we are?

"What difference does it make?"

None.

Clinton has 394 delegates, both super and electorally assigned, to only 42 for Sanders.
