"Trump has 41 percent support among likely GOP primary voters, the American Research Group poll found, followed by Ted Cruz, at 32 percent, and John Kasich, at 21 percent."

Cruz, Fiorina, Pence and everyone else had best get their stuff together. I don't care if Cruz has to appoint his entire Cabinet before next Tuesday... he needs to win Indiana to force a contested convention.

"Then Mr. Trump comes and in his statements radiate the idea that he’s not at all interested in ideology, only in making America great again—through border security and tough trade policy, etc. He’s saying he’s on America’s side, period.

And because people are so happy to hear this after 16 years, because it seems right to them, they give him a pass on his lack of experience in elective office and the daily realities of national politics. They accept him even though he is a casino developer and brander who became famous on reality TV.

They forgive it all. Not only because they’re tired of bad policy but because they’re tired of ideology."

From Noonan's opinion piece in the WSJ. Maybe this helps explain why so many support him, and both parties are in disarray. People are sick of ideology.

Wonder if the BS CF will ever get the message?

If ARG is saying Trump will win Indiana, that may be trouble for Trump. ARG came out with a poll a day or two before Wisconsin voted, with these numbers (which are almost the exact numbers they're showing in this IN poll):

Cruz - 32 Trump - 42 Kasich - 23

They were just a teensy bit off base.

Actual numbers were:

Cruz - 48 (+16) Trump - 35 (-7) Kasich - 14 (-9)

And for some reason, ARG almost always has a "House effect" for Kasich. Be very surprised if Kasich gets 21% in Indiana.

btw, a different IN poll out today has Trump/Cruz tied within the Margin of Error.

ARG was also way off on their Texas predictions a day before 3/1. They undershot Cruz's # by 11 and OVERshot Trump's # by 5.

Now that I think of it, they were way off in IA and MI as well. It seems when they are off their number is usually in Trump's favor.

So joshuaf, do you want to go on the record that you think Cruz will win Indiana?

Yes. I've always thought that, haven't changed my mind.
