Good for you Donald....

Tax the rich and raise the minimum wage.

So Solo, what's the "real" meaning of the following quote from Trump, since you're acting as translator for us dumb rubes who think we should actually take someone at their word....?

Trump wouldn't know sound monetary policy from a hole in his head. Ron Paul acolytes who voted for Trump are likely beginning to have an acute case of buyer's remorse.

Let's see, first he says we'll reduce the National Debt by taking America into default on our debt. And now he says that never needs to happen, since we can just inflate our way out of having to go into default. Is that about the scope of things?

Please, don't ever talk about how awful Hillary and Obama are if you're going to support Trump. It really and truly is very hypocritical. If Trump had a "D" by his name and was supporting these very same policies, you'd be on him like white on rice denouncing these absurd things he's saying.

Is it just me or as each day goes by his act is coming apart, or is the media just turning on him like a few of us on here new they would?

He cannot maintain his lies and his policy backtracking. So far this morning, within just 2 hours, he's put forth a tax plan that 1) raises taxes on the rich and then 2) lowers those taxes. Also, he's gone against the min wage increase and this morning he said no one can live on 7.25 and the MW must be raised according to states desires.

Yesterday: Obama is printing useless money! This morning: Debt? what debt? Just print more money! HA. You can't make this stuff up!!

No inconsistencies there at all!

I thought Trump looked bad on the Sunday talk shows, floundering around with this talk of minimum wage and tax plans. An all too sudden and predictable shift to the left, in a ham-handed appeal to Bernie supporters. He was better on the circuit this morning with damage control messaging, but not much.

I would think the "art of the deal" guy would at least wait until the negotiation started to begin lowering his opening bid!!

"And after you figure it out you can review Trumps statements and begin to understand that truths held in tension do not negate one another..."

Um....wow, that is some hardcore BS.

"I would think the "art of the deal" guy would at least wait until the negotiation started to begin lowering his opening bid!!"

Trump's idea of the "art of the deal" is to renege on his promises/pledges, then tell his creditors to "lower your standards to accommodate me or you're screwed". He's doing the same thing with the GOP right now.

I sure hope he figures out what he wants because the people are going to revolt if he doesn't try and do some of what he portrayed himself as going to do.

It sounds like he needs some help not just articulating his goals but knowing how he will accomplish them.

Not a politician, what do you expect....We're used to politicians lying to our faces and then laughing it off! How else do you explain the last eight (8) years....

He will lose for the Clinton's as promised....;^)

I heard he is publishing two more books.....

"The Art of Whinning" and "Loans of My Father"

I honestly wonder if it is even possible to hear Trump's economic policy without him punching holes in it. Even supporters have to admit his incoherency is a liability.

From: HA/KS

"Even supporters have to admit" Apparently all they can admit is that he got more votes so every other candidate and their supporters are worthless.

Vote for him to find out how he will screw us.....

Ohhhh....Sanders supporters.... just wait until Trump takes aim with his sales pitch at Bernie's supporters... you have never seen the optional socialist packages advertised like this yet...never at these low low prices before! In fact they're FREE!

Comes with the standard factory package of universal healthcare.... paid by the government! Yeah baby! And take that minimum wage hike for a test drive and then tell me you don't want it.... Chrome hubcaps included! Many more features.... too many to list here! Come on down and check us out! (just wait till we get you in the door....)

TD: That sounds exactly like the the way the Republicans campaigned 2 years ago, only it was different promises. Same lying sales pitch, but different bait.

ALL of them are lying sacks of crap.

It's really not important what he says to get elected, it is much more important what he does after winning the election. Tell me, what is President Cruz going to be doing in February of 2017?

"It's really not important what he says to get elected"

Actually, it really is. But it's no surprise you are making excuses for him in this way.

I'll file your comment away for the General when you accuse Hillary of saying things just to get elected.

"I'll file your comment away for the General when you accuse Hillary of saying things just to get elected."

Great idea joshuaf, the only problem though, I understand politicians running for office often say things to appeal to voters with no chance of ever accomplishing them. Now, as I asked above, what will President Cruz be doing in February 2017? Great idea to appeal to the far right conservatives with your speeches, but if you can't get enough votes to win.....what do you accomplish?

From: joshuaf

I see you still have hope joshuaf, just like Teddy, something divine will happen and there will be a President Cruz in 2017. When you get back to the real world maybe you will be able to carry on an intelligent conversation, until then, dream on.

"I see you still have hope joshuaf, just like Teddy, something divine will happen and there will be a President Cruz in 2017"

No, he'll be saying I told you so because Trump will campaign to the Left of Hillary and will end up losing anyway.

From: sureshot

I am sure joshuaf, much as he told us that he would win the nomination, if only.....now he can tell us he could have won the general election, if only?????? The funniest part of it all. ...you believe him!

Sorry to get you excited folks.....

It is actually a tax cut that Trump was talking about.

"Mr. Trump explained that he meant he might have to accept a top tax rate that is higher than the 25 percent his plan calls for. To get his tax plans through Congress, he would probably have to compromise, but even after such concessions, the top rate would be lower than it is now, he said."

Man, it is so hard to keep up, this guy makes Kerry look consistent...

How many of you jokers debating Trump's purported plan to tax the rich are actually 1%'ers? If you are not you can STFU. If you are, I might listen to your opinion.

Evidently it's escaped your notice that economic policy impacts every single American citizen, regardless of income level.

I would think a basic understanding of civics 101 would preclude anyone ever admonishing any eligible voter that their opinion may only be rendered with regard to their respective income stratification.

Right up there with "let them eat cake".
