I know when I respond to this you will most likely reply like the last time...
I already stated at least 2 weeks ago I thought the remaining charges should be dropped. The judge was absolutely correct that the prosecutor did not prove anything. I believe in innocent until proven guilty for ALL.
I knew this thread was about this before I opened it because I just received a text from a former student who is going to grad school in Denver this August. We had lunch together Monday. His text was "you were right, they dropped the charges as they should have"
Obviously I am not a lawyer, but after hearing what the judge wrote, I am baffled as to why some of the officers were even charged and still confused as to some of the charges and the reasoning behind them. Again, I am no lawyer though.
But, I would hope social justice is a cause for you as well, at least that is part of what Jesus taught us, right? And justice appears to have been served here, again, that being my untrained in legal matters opinion.
It would be very easy for someone who cared about the truth to find out if I have a reputation for being conservative or liberal, as a teacher and as an individual. Dropping accusations without at least checking says a lot about a person's character, rather lack of.
I am very happy that the mayor and state's attorney look like complete fools and the whole world can now see it. The democrats had the mayor on stage last night. It they aren't embarrassed they certainly should be. BTW both are avid Hillary supporters.
A picture's worth a thousand words.
The Dems are not embarrassed. They don't get embarrassed. If they did, they would not allow Al Franken on their stage, much less the philanderer, impeached liar and totally corrupt Bill Clinton.
Nothing baffling about the climate of hate the very people who are working hard to protect our society and the citizens who live in it. That hatred is being encourage and nourished from the oval office.
No thank you.
Its a term just like "global warming", when people start figuring out the truth the term will change to something different!
We all make freakin choices in life.... Some choose to work their butt off to support their family and possibly get ahead, while others choose to set on their butt and let the gov't support them.
Do bad things happen, absolutely and those situations need to be dealt with swiftly and correctly, but in no way is that equal "social justice"....
The family lost a kid, the cops lose a chunk of their lives and undergo the stress of being wrongfully accused, the tax payers lose millions, Mosby loses a giant case and reputation, the police lose faith in the city they work for.
No doubt there was a mostly political component to Mosby's (and her supporters)actions, yet the system worked. The officers will receive financial compensation and Mosby will most likely get what is coming. (I don't know if what she did was criminal as I am not an attorney, but her reputation is trashed.)
Another hopefully positive that will come out of this is that society will not tolerate political prosecutions, and only actual serious misconduct will be what is pursued going forward.
