I went to high school with his mother and live in the same town they are from -Rochester Il. Needless to say mom is very proud and so is the community. This is a very conservative part of the State. His mom's FB page has blown up (in a good way) this past week. Pretty cool to see all the positive comments coming from all over the country.

If I was the Dean of that college I'd immediately give him a full ride scholarship and make damn sure the rest of the pathetic team knew about it! If they whined or pissed and moaned I'd tell 'em the best I could do for them is work-study positions in the locker room, restrooms, and cafeteria.

PSE, I have not been one to pile on like the others, but you continue to stoop even lower. First off, read the article. A young man stood up for America, and honored the playing of the national anthem, while the rest of his douche bag team pissed on freedom.
If you and your merry band of men and women have such a hatred for America and freedom, please, please, please move out. There are plenty of hell holes where you and your kind can move and enjoy socialist or communist regimes, or even dictatorships! Sheep love to be led, so maybe you should give that a try.
Maybe you and that steaming POS CK will rot somewhere. One can only hope.

IF everybody is so un-proud to be American...if they think it's their "right" to show such blatant disrespect for the American flag...then they should ask themselves two questions. The first, being WHO provided them with that freedom, and secondly if they are so offended by all things American WHY THE HELL ARE THEY STILL HERE?!?!? Go live in the country you think you'll be happier in. Otherwise STFU!!!
