I'm surprised MT and UT are not on the list.
All right!!! Arkansas is not 49th or 50th on a list for once!!! I'm very proud of my great state! And I certainly am doing my part to keep us high on this list!
Texas is not even in the top 10? That does it, time for me to get a shotgun.
So generally speaking, in one group of the top 12 you have politicians, and in the other group you have good 'ol boys and country folk. I bet I know which is more adept at using their firearms.
Illinois would have been in the top 10, but they can no longer count all my guns. Due to the fact I lost all of them 8 years ago in a lake crossing.
I wish they'd say more about their research methodology. In one instance they refer to "registered Firearms", that might be why DC is so high, they all have to be registered there. In most states none (or only certain firearms) are technically registered.
Honestly, I think all those states have WAY more firearms in private hands than the numbers quoted. How can PA have only 89,000 guns when they have 750,000 deer hunters, and most of them use a rifle? What do they do, share? I call BS!
It just goes to show how clueless most of the media is about Firearms.
No way do they have the information to make this list.
That list has to be bogus/ I would bet that the town I live in in Oregon has more guns than most of those states have listed. God bless, Steve
Ace, Shut, Six x2
puff piece at worst, useless at best...the pop ups that came with the click said it all
Wisconsin has 600,000 plus gun deer hunters out each fall, plus waterfowl and small game hunters that dont also deer hunt and all the other firearm interests, ya the list is wanting in crediblity.
Damn it! I knew it was too good to be true, Arkansas being #3 on a list. I agree the numbers are BS.
Well let me first state that I lived in Wyoming, so it does not surprise me that they are #1 on the list. However...........
They must have transposed the numbers. It should be out of 114 RESIDENTS of Wyoming they have 1000 GUNS! And I'd question even that. That's only 8.77 guns per person. WAAAAY too low!!!
"Texas is not even in the top 10? That does it, time for me to get a shotgun."
Well, 40% of the population here in TX is undocumented, same as their gun purchases.
Ok, I'm back. Bored of the big game forum.
I have to say that list is no DOUBT wrong. I live in a place where many open carry! You SEE as many with guns as without. We are 1.2 million strong gun fanatics here! It really isn't weir to go into a gas station and see men talking back and forth about their carry choice for the day. :^)
God Bless men
Woodguy65 I know what you mean that sudden storm caused my boat too sink also. I refuse to name the lake as it is a great fishing and duck hunting spot. ;)
Kansas is not there because of too many boat wrecks and guns sinking away.
Gun owners in Idaho know how to keep their mouths shut. ;)
