After the election of course. Isn't this what you folks have been saying for years?
From the CNBC story at the link
"Taken together, the numbers show that there's more to meets the eye than a headline unemployment rate of 4.6 percent, the lowest since August 2007. Because that number ignores those not in the labor force, as well as workers at part-time jobs for economic reasons, it doesn't tell the whole story. A broader jobless measure is at 9.3 percent."
Even worse than that when you take into account much of that employment is part time and/or under-employed (employed with far less compensation than they normally would)
JD,
The numbers reported to make Obama look better than he was have been the U3 numbers; the U6 numbers also take into account underemployment; those who can only find part-time work but indicate they want full-time work.
If you account for the reduction in labor force participation under Obama it's even worse than 9.3%; a more realistic "true" measure would be in the mid to high teens.
This is why I get such a chuckle out of those Occupy Democrat memes that tout the Obama economic performance; fiction writers everywhere are green with envy....
its that high because millions refuse to work. lots of jobs available out there.
Change the rules, change the results. Be interesting to see what rules apply when Trump is President. (Christ, is that really going to happen?)
Exactly....and wait until you see the crying when Trump gets whoever he wants for cabinet and SCOTUS. Thank you for YOUR rules Harry Reid.
Spkie,
How about many people are pissed because Trump is the president elect, righ there on the CF. ;-)
The Rock
what will happen on or about jan 21?
unemployment rate %s will be ignored, the true numbers of unemployed, out of work, not working, underemployed, unemployable, not looking for employment or just cant spell employment will be used to trample trump
Itshot, and the number of homeless people that has not been mentioned in 8 years will be in the headlines everyday.
Terry
yep, and war dead, veteran suicides, all things not noteworthy last 2,920 days...
I still remember that the "10 million homeless" disappeared from the front pages between when clinton was elected and when he took office, never to be mentioned during his 8 years
On a positive note: the media has shot it's wad and has little credibility any more. And they still are stuck on stupid with labeling Trump nominees and supporters as nazi racists.
Desperate to regain viewership and readership, they might actually try to practice real journalism ;0)
Are they still counting the military Ol Bill was the first to them in to the mix to look better.
