Two Kansas kids out chasing coons got a big surprise. Their dog treed a cougar.

"Evan Huntley and is cousin Will Glotzbach were raccoon hunting north of Paxico, in Wabaunsee County, on Thanksgiving evening. They'd just shot a raccoon when their dog chased after another scent, driving a mountain lion up a tree.

"We looked up to the left and this mountain lion was looking at us right in the face," Huntley said. "We weren't as scared as we were shocked. We were very surprised."

The two say they just stood there watching the cat when it dawned on them: they really need to take video to prove their find.

"A lot of people say they've seen mountain lions, but they don't have any proof," Glotzbach said. "Evan got his phone out and recorded a 45 second video of it.""

Best part of it all is that it was seen by two, responsible young men out enjoying a night of 'coon hunting.
