Was not surprised about MA. After 38 years here I'm still trying to figure out positives for this state. It's good to know if I was attacked with a knife I would have to tuck tail and run with the guy knifing my back just so I won't go to jail. Damned if u do and damned if you don't.

Having lived there, I think in the case of Wyoming it's because they don't have this issue as things like armed assault and such is almost unheard of because EVERYONE is armed, and everyone knows it. When I lived there 40 years ago you could open carry, and many people did just that. It was also legal to have an uncased, LOADED rifle in the gun rack of your truck. Lot's of Saturday beer induced fist fights in the bars but that's as far as it goes.

CT is not a "Stand your ground" state, however you do not have a Duty to Retreat in your own home (castle doctrine) so we have that going for us ...
