My nephew's son is in Childrens Hospital today. He has spent quite a bit of time there in his short life. EB isn't well known but its an absolutely awful rare genetic issue. He has been in pain his whole life. Its all he has ever known and has endured it and managed to wear a smile more often than a frown. The form he has is devastating to the body. When someone meets him they are understandably shocked due to the physical effects but his amazing resilience and ability to joke and smile quickly win them over.

I ask that anyone in a position to support charities take a moment to learn what EB is and consider including it.

And mine as well. Kids can be the most courageous people in the whole world.
