Give it time. More and more are coming around to the medicinal benefits of it.

I think there are something like 26 states that have medicinal or recreational use, so it's definitely coming around. I think there are a lot of confirmed benefits of using MJ as opposed to other drugs; no idea why it's still labeled as a schedule 1, meaning it has no useful purpose.

They've known the benefits for quite a while. Check out the Charlotte Figi story Doc. In 2013 she was a 6 year old with Dravet Syndrome. Up to 300 seizures a week before treatment. Gave that little girl her life back.

Note: this is not the use of raw weed, but an extracted component of the plant.

Big difference.

Content of marijuana smoked includes much more than cannabidiol including many of the same contents of tobacco smoke that have been shown to have links with cancer, emphysema, etc. Widespread use of smoking marijuana may have some benefits, but down the road we can well expect an increase in marijuana related lung cancers and other negative benefits related to tobacco smoking.

There are obviously components of marijuana that have medical benefits...but like aspirin, need to be isolated from the raw product and identified as to the chemical nature and dosage.

Medical is wide field. Not all has thc but some does along with other parts of the plant, and its flowers. Look how dirty a marijuana pipe gets, that might be what a marijuana user's lungs look like. Hopfully by 2020 national elections medical/recreational marijuana use will be legal nationwide. Hell tax it and make more than regulating it legally. Just a federal level hold up. You get more prison time on drug charges than murder charges.
