Also JJ Watts of the Texans started his own Red Cross Fund Drive with a 100k donation. His all volunteer group now has the Red Cross fund up to 7.5m. The Red Cross operates on 9% with 91% going to the flood victims.

Funny how these good deeds never get any press. But, some clown decides not to stand for the anthem, and the whole world hears about it, ad nauseum.

Good for the Broncos but the team giving 70,000$ is like me giving 5$. Of course their money goes a lot further than mine. ;)

JJ Watt's drive is well over $13M I believe. I understand only a small amount of that is his own money, but a great effort nonetheless. Of course JJ is a caucasian playing for the Texans, and from Wisconsin, so he may not get the same press that some would get.

JJ started the fund off with a 100k personal donation. Texans and Cowboys donated 1m each the first day.
