I drove home from near Seattle on Thursday. Except for one brief period when I hit NE California, the temperature was between 35 and 48 all the way. Given I had an elk in the back of my truck, that was a very good thing.
100 here the last three days, but not supposed to get above 80 for the next week + after today. We are also supposed to have a chance for nearly 2" of rain Sunday and Monday. We need it!
Over the past week or so it cooled down a bunch out this way in the Great Northwest. Highs were around 60°F for a few days with some light rainfall. Now it has hit 71°F here today, but cooling down a little already at 14:30. Forecasted to be around +/- 80°F by mid-week.
So be patient. It's coming your way, ya buncha Carpetbaggers...... lol ... ;^)
Last week, at my own expense, I was back in D.C. lobbying for conservation, hunters and access for state agencies to be able to manage wildlife on federal lands within their state borders. Sec. Zinke's staff was one of our many meetings.
Then on Friday, just two days later, Sec. Zinke issued an order directing the Dept. of Interior to expand access on federal lands for hunters, fishermen and state agencies.
Freeglee, OTOH, was doing ZERO for conservation, most likely playing with himself and watching kiddie porn while I was working for sportsmen, and he was doing NOTHING for hunters, fishermen, nor for state agencies.

Over the past 16 years I have given hundreds upon hundreds of hours of my time and given TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars of my own money to support conservation and sportsman's wildlife organizations.
Another thread ruined by a despicable clown. Clashing hot and cool air masses; definitely a sign of fall, but it has been hot here of late. It seems the Northern Rockies have had a fair amount of snow over the last week or two... maybe a bit more than typically seen.
That's the stupidest crap I ever heard friutfly....... oh my it's hot..... what the hell do you want people to do ??? Stop living ??? It's going from highs in the 90s here yesterday and today to highs in the upper 50s next weekend for my buddy and I for bear hunting..... PERFECT !!!!!!!

Seems like not even a half dozen days in the 90's. On 22 August I had to wear a jacket in the morning while working outside, as it was about 58 degrees in Stafford.
Onto other matters; How dare NvaGvUp go hunting, when freeglee would spend our tax money and have the Government do it for him. Thinks about all the people the Govt could have hired to fill the jobs necessary to go and kill NvaGvUps bull for him.
How dare Kyle do something for himself, put non-antibiotic and non-hormone meat on his table .
How dare Kyle stimulate the economy going to and from the hunting site, keeping hundreds of people employed, like gas station attendants, restaurant employees, Game Wardens, butchers, Highway Crews, Auto Mechanics, etc.
How dare you, Kyle, keep all those people employed. Don't you know this country is suffering, and there you go spending your money across states, keeping people receiving paychecks instead of welfare.
What the hell is the matter with you! Your money is now going to put food on someone's table, and Christmas Presents under someone's tree. What were you thinking ?
I went bear hunting this weekend. It was hot yesterday during the day. Mid 80's hot. So, I quit about 11. I camped at about 4000 feet and awoke to a cool 33 degrees this morning. Fall is right on course here. God Bless
