My alma mater, no less. They wore this helmet yesterday in tribute to Veterans, members of the Armed Forces, as well as First Responders.
In the game, they blew away Hawaii 38-0 to become bowl eligible.
They're all trying with all their might to get to the NFL.... They don't kneel in college ball because they aren't allowed to.... That just proves that the NFL could do the same thing and not allow them to do it while they are working.....
Chris,
Allowed to or not, if any of them tried that in Logan, UT, they'd be run out of town in a heartbeat.
You have a lot of faith in them.... that's good...... but if any of them made the NFL they'll probably disappoint you and take a knee.... Good for the University for showing the red white and blue !!
Doesn't really matter if they are all forced to stand, same knot heads. F the NFL and their wantabies, I'm done with them.
There are currently only 11 former Aggies playing in the NFL and of this seasons' 18 seniors, only one, CB Jalen Davis, is likely to be drafted.
Except for Davis, I don't think an NFL future is something any of them even consider.
I wonder how many of the former Aggies are taking a knee this year in the NFL ??
None that I know of.
The percentage of NFL players who are kneeling is pretty small.
"F the NFL and their wantabies, I'm done with them. "
Times TWO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't see how you can hold college kids responsible for the reprehensible actions of a few of their elders.
I don't hold them responsible.... I just predict that they will be taking a knee in a few years....
"You have a lot of faith in them."
I've trudged up Old Main and across The Quad many a time in the past - I don't believe they would try that in Logan...
Go Big Blue!!!
Big Bear,
Again, "Which Ones?"
Kyle, USU, Class of 1970.
The ones that got a free ride to your college because they can play football.... Let's face it....... The goal and dream of every college football player is to make the NFL..... either to be drafted or to sign as an undraffted free agent....... So if your boycotting the NFL you might as well include college ball......
Your college sports the red white and blue just like the NFL has the coaches on the sidelines wearing military type garb....... but given the opportunity.... what do the players do ?? Kneel...... Tell them to stand or take a hike.....
Big Bear,
Oh, PLEEZE!
That may be their dream, but except few, those dreams all soon crash upon the rocks of reality.
But even then, why should those young men be shat on because of the actions of a very small fraction of their elders?
The very definition of bigotry is to think all members of a particular group will think and behave the same.
So isn't it bigotry to boycott all of the NFL because of the actions of a few ??
Chris,
That's not in any way the point of my posts here.
Boycott the NFL if you want, and for good reason.
But it's totally inappropriate to crap on college kids who are likely to disagree with those few NFL players who kneel for the anthem.
I agree with Kyle. I am not paying the college kids. I am paying the NFL and I just don’t do business with people that call me a racist.
3 of Michigan States best football players got kicked off the team and kicked out of school before the season even started...... because they are being charged with rape. All of them would have been playing in the NFL in a few years. These entitled ass hats get a free ride to school and get spoon fed easy classes and good grades to keep them going on the team. Maybe it's not so much at your school Kyle.... but at the bigger football schools the players are mini NFLers..... I'm sure that illegal payoffs and incentives like cars for their mothers and cash advances are the norm... College football is huge business and is an extension of the NFL... When a College can spend millions to hire an NFL coach like Jim Harbaugh...... There seems to be a problem with the priorities of the school......... JMO
