I will, however, disagree with his grades on Healthcare costs and Race relations.
Getting rid of Obamacare will slash such costs, esp. if free markets are allowed, FINALLY, to get back in the game.
I strongly disagree with his score on race relations.
It was Obama who used race, via phony and outrageously false claims to divide our nation on racial matters.
Trump is getting heat now, but for what? Speaking the truth?
Sorry, but that's not bad for race relations, it's great for improving race relations in the long run.
Adams despises Dems!
Funny how those monuments meant nothing to anyone during Obama's 8 years in office...
But other wise looks fairly accurate from what i have heard and read.
Reducing crime-C, more like a B, look at all of the MS13 bangers arrested along with the sexual predators from mexico that Odipwad let into the country daily.
If trump's average is in the C+ to B- range, republicans in congress are an F and democrats everywhere are a zero or less.
Someone needs to explain why you are so frequently deliberately obtuse. The rally was for state's rights. And, sorry, but not everyone in favor of state's rights is a neo-Nazi. Nor is the Confederate statue nonsense "siding against black people." It is, however, siding against "angry liberal black people" which are habitually offended by Trump anyway. Defining black people as a homogeneous group means that you believe that black people cannot think for themselves, and that is racist.
Since you're well-educated, I can only conclude that you voluntarily make stupid statements. Seek help.
No, bk, white nationalists, klansmen, neo-Nazis, and white supeemacists did not collectively organize to fight for State’s rights. Give me a break. I’d say you’re smarter than that, but after having to say that over and over again every time you run your mouth on something I post, I’m guessing you’re just not.
Another plus:
President Trump Renews Space Policy Directive…
"Earlier today President Donald Trump and Vice-President Mike Pence held an event at the White House to renew a space policy for NASA’s continuing U.S. mission directives."
Hopefully, NASA will get out of the gorbal warming focus of Obamunism, and set out sights for the moon, Mars and elsewhere.
I'll explain it to you, even though you're sure to argue against it. There were decent people at that rally, and on both sides of such issues as the confederate statues. There are decent people on both sides of the immigration issues. You have to be weapons grade obtuse to argue against that, but you habitually do so. It takes more effort to try to find the wrong interpretation of things rather than to use reasonable interpretations of what people say. But that's what blind partisans do.
I never said there aren’t good people on both sides of the immigration issue. I’ve maintained the point that I don’t really get worked up over things that are statistically less likely to kill me than falling televisions are, and I suggest that other people should show a similar level of concern. I’ve said that I think it’s intellectual hypocrisy to quote statistics on gun violence but ignore similar statistics on the rate at which Muslims commit terrorism. I’ve never said the people that did so were bad people.
Stop putting words in my mouth.
If you want to get in a battle of wits with bk, I guarantee you're going to lose.
That's what happens when you dislike someone so much that you are incapable of rationally interpreting what they say and do. You're not the only one, but you're the one who tells us how smart you are and then, is as bad at filtering to your point of view as anyone here. Anyone.
He did not say “the monument issue is a divisive one, and there are very fine people on both sides of the divide” or something to that effect, that would have focused on the issue and not the incident. Instead, he commented directly on the incident in which one side of the conflict was literally white supremacists and white nationalists. If you can’t see how this statement in light of the events that occurred were bad for race relations, then I feel sorry for you.
Let’s go a step further. Here’s a group of white supremacists arguing to keep symbols of a nation that literally went to war with the United States of America and killed American soldiers, who fought under the flag of the United States, over the right to continue to enslave a race of people in a place of prominence even though they are clearly offensive to a large subset of the population, and he calls them very fine. Yet, he doesn’t hesitate to call a black person a son of a bitch over his protest of the national anthem due to racial injustice in this country because it’s offensive to a large subset of the population (who happen to be among his most rabid supporters) and disrespectful to the flag. I don’t give a damn where you stand on the issues, if you don’t see how the optics on his actions would be upsetting to black people then you’re blind. Like folks here can’t even go “yeah, I guess I could see how black people might be upset.” Please.
And again, if you want to talk about being “deliberately obtuse”...I’ve talked to a LOT of people who are fairly ardent monument supporters. I kind of live in ground zero for it. I’m related to a number of them. In all the conversations I’ve had with people passionate about the issue, care to guess how many times “State’s Rights” has come up in the conversation? I can count it on all of ZERO fingers. I PROMISE you the Unite the Right rally had nothing to do with State’s rights. Nice try though.
Herein lies the problem. I would at least question the weightiness of your intellect if you feel a man that has accomplished what he has is an "intellectual lightweight."
And I think it's fair to say there were good people representing both sides of the issue that day. Surrounded by some scumbags on both sides of the issue. And further complicated by paid protesters... who were probably/likely up to no good and there to make an already bad situation look worse.
I agree with you on pretty much everything you said (with the exception being perhaps the ability to choose the right people to surround him) and I don't underestimate him at all. As I said, he knows exactly what he's saying and why he's saying it. There perhaps is no greater marketer and brander in the world -- but he certainly isn't a policy wonk and I think it's pretty clear he doesn't really care for the minutiae of the issues. But being successful in politics or business often has little to nothing to do with being an intellectual. That doesn't mean he's not smart.
A recent quote came out from one of his aides that said Trump told them "to think of each presidential day as an episode in a television show in which he vanquishes rivals." I think this is extremely telling and it seems to corroborate how Trump views his Presidency. Each day is a television episode. Optics, particularly with respect to his base, matter more to him than actual accomplishments. The man is addicted to how the television world views him and contextualizes success in terms of his life being a reality TV show. This strategy got him elected and if the economy keeps rolling it might possibly get him re-elected. It's absolutely transformational.
If you mean they went to war with "their government" so to speak, yeah, sure. That's about where the similarities end. What exactly am I supposed to be getting over? The fact that I can understand how black people might find Confederate symbols offensive??
What's not to like? If you doubt this just imagine if you will which American hating, racist (against white people), Marxist, anti-religion, climate change lunatic Hillary would already have on the court? YIKES! I think I need to use the bathroom..........
Taking offense is a choice. Carrying a grudge is like drinking a cup of poison and then waiting for the other guy to die. History is full of black marks against mankind - does that mean everyone should forget about it? Be thankful they stand as a reminder of where we've been and where we are.
Opposition to Confederate monuments is nothing more than a political ploy. Was never a problem before that dumbass obama was put into office.
History is what it is - get over it.
Lol...tell that to the folks on the NFL threads. And this conversation has nothing to do with "getting over" history. It has everything to do with questioning whether these symbols and monuments should be given a place of prominence in society. History is captured in books and it's not going away. Statues glorify people. For those that are crying this is about "history" or "get over it" shows how tone deaf many of you are. Again, it's no wonder race relations are at an all-time low.
LMAO! And Obama, Sharpton, and Jesse Jackass among others have had absolutely nothing to do with that. It's all whitey's fault as usual. Obama's 8 years set race relations back in American at least 50 years. "Let's not rush to judgement......but the cops acted stupidly." Remember that little gem of his from the very beginning of the 8 years from hell?
And Ferguson. Sheeesh.
Failing to see the who, what, and why behind the rapid decline in race relations during the Obama years.... and even now refusing to open your eyes to the truth... is what draws such ire from many here.
He also comes from a world where it doesn't give a damn about you and you have to fend for yourself - no free rides.
Let's face it.....there's NOTHING Trump can ever do that will make the Democrats say ONE SYLLABLE of anything positive about him. If he came up with a cure for all cancer they'd want him impeached for taking so long, so **** 'EM! They're like Muslims. They hate us like the the Dems hate him and they will not stop until one is eliminated. That's FACT.
That's my summation, SA, and I really do not like the man. But fair is fair; he is much better than I expected thus far on policy. My biggest concern now is that he's just such a blind, clumsy and pubescent personality, he could do a decent job and still ruin conservatism. As for race relations, no one from the right will be treated honestly so I cannot hold him accountable for the lies of the media and Dems. Healthcare? That's on Congress. And it is an unqualified F.
Welldone.
On the bright side, d-bag, crybaby, millionaires won't be able to erroneously protest what it stands for anymore.
Trump gets a B- from me. There is no chance the media would ever allow high marks for Trump in regards to "race relations", one of the most critical Presidential duties of course. Obama was a true zero in that department, however.
