In a new report by The Washington Times, reporters Guy Taylor and Dan Boylan say the Obama administration’s dangerous habit of leaking “sensitive secret intelligence,” to the press for political gain, may have led to the death of several elite CIA agents.

Obama gave aid and comfort to terrorist groups and their state sponsors from the day he was sworn in, to the point of actual criminality.

Consider the case of Bowe Bergdahl, the deserter who left his post and his comrades in am Afghan combat zone to find himself and also to find the Taliban. Former U.N. Ambassador and National Security adviser Susan Rice, propagator of the Benghazi video lie, laughingly said on the same talk show circuit that Bowe Bergdahl had “served with distinction.” This was the administration view of the man whom Obama would trade key Taliban leaders in our custody for.

President Obama welcomed and commiserated with Bowe Bergdahl’s parents in the Rose Garden on May 31, 2014. It would be stretching credulity to beyond the breaking point to believe President Obama did not know when it was announced we were trading five top Taliban commanders, soon to be free to return to the terrorist battlefield, for Bergdahl.

Even if Bergdahl was not a deserter, the trade would have been a bad deal. As Investor’s Business Daily noted in an editorial charging “Obama Gave Material Assistance To Our Taliban Enemy”, President Obama committed a federal crime by trading Taliban leaders for Bergdahl:

As former congressman and Afghanistan veteran Allen West points out, President Obama signed into law only months ago the National Defense Authorization Act, which makes it a crime to offer or provide any material support to terrorist groups. It makes no exception as to who and under which circumstances.

The Taliban is considered a non-state terrorist group to which Obama has returned five of the worst terrorists held at Guantanamo. They are not foot soldiers and this exchange was not at the end of a war, when prisoner swaps often happen. They are four-star general equivalents who will return to the battlefield to target and kill Americans again. If that’s not material assistance, what is?…

“We have a federal statute which makes it a felony to provide material assistance to any terrorist organization,” said Fox News judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano in support of West’s opinion. “It could be money, maps, professional services, any asset whatsoever, include human assets.”

That Obama would endanger American security for a dubious photo-op and help empty a Guantanamo Bay terrorist detention facility he had pledged to close is beyond the pale. But then so is going to bed to rest up for a Las Vegas fund raiser the night four Americans were killed in Benghazi, including a U.S. Ambassador, Christopher Stevens. Obama, Hillary Clinton and Susan Rice couldn’t bring themselves to blame the terrorist groups that attacked in Benghazi, including ansar al-Sharia, or even to utter the phrase “radical Islamic terrorism”..They preferred to spread the lie that a video was responsible, a lie they repeated on national TV, before the United Nations and to the parents of the Benghazi dead before their sons’ caskets:

Last Thursday, Judicial Watch issued a press release announcing that on Feb. 11 it had “uncovered documents from the U.S. Department of State revealing that top aides for then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, including her then-chief of staff Cheryl Mills, knew from the onset that the Benghazi mission compound was under attack by armed assailants tied to a terrorist group.”

The documents, obtained by Judicial Watch through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, make no mention of a reaction to an Internet video.

But they do contain references to an attack for which the al-Qaida-affiliated terrorist group Ansar al-Sharia had taken credit, information available to the State Department before it released the statement implicating a video.

President Obama and his administration precipitously withdrew from Iraq, snatching defeat from President Bush’s victory, and then ignored intelligence warnings on the rise of ISIS for a year: Obama once told CNN that the rise and expansion of the Islamic State was “not on my intelligence radar” As the Washington Examiner reported:

President Obama admitted to CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, in a TV special “The Legacy of Barack Obama,” that his administration underestimated the Islamic State terrorist group.

“The ability of ISIL to not just mass inside of Syria, but then to initiate major land offensives that took Mosul, for example, that was not on my intelligence radar screen,” Obama said in a pre-taped interview that aired Wednesday evening.

Well, in order to see something on your radar, you actually have to look at it, and the fact is that President Obama from the start ignored his daily intelligence briefings, including the ones about ISIS that he ignored for a year. The fact is that President Obama, who famously dismissed ISIS as a “JV team”, ignored the intelligence reports of the rise of the Islamic State and the danger it posed. As Investor’s Business Daily editorialized, Obama’s later promise to “degrade and destroy” ISIS was an empty threat by a President who could have destroyed ISIS in the cradle but didn’t:

Degrade? Degrading has been the foreign policy of a president who recently said that he didn’t have a strategy yet for dealing with the Islamic State’s butchery after watching it train and prepare for a year in its Syrian base before its “sudden” expansion into Iraq.

A former Pentagon official told Fox News that Obama received specific intelligence in daily briefings about the Islamic State’s rise. The information was said to be “granular” in detail, laying out IS’ intentions and capabilities for at least a year before it seized big chunks of Iraqi territory and started beheading Americans.

Obama’s indifference to the briefings was an issue during the 2012 campaign, when former George W. Bush speechwriter Marc Thiessen observed that Obama personally attended only 44% of them. Obama’s perceived lack of interest in a terror war, which he claimed was won prior to the Benghazi attack, mirrors his reported lack of interest in the rise of the Islamic State.

So with Obama’s turning a blind eye to the terrorist threats posed by the Taliban, Ansar Al-Sharia, and ISIS, even offering material aid and comfort to the Taliban, should we be surprised that he flew pallets containing $1.7 billion in cash to Iran, cash used to fund terrorist groups like Hezbollah whose drug-running he excused and ignored?

Just as he was an accomplice to running Operation Fast and Furious which got Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry killed, now we know President Obama was so intent on getting any kind of nuclear deal with the state sponsor of terror known as Iran that he was willing to derail efforts that were about to shut down Hezbollah’s drug running activities inside the United States:

In order to keep the Iran nuclear deal on track, Obama gave a free pass to Hezbollah’s drug-trafficking and money-laundering operations, including crimes unfolding inside the United States, Politico reported.

A Drug Enforcement Administration campaign, “Project Cassandra,” was launched to target the Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah’s illicit networks, tracing the actions “to the innermost circle of Hezbollah and its state sponsors in Iran,” according to the online political news outlet….

David Asher, a Defense Department illicit finance analyst who helped establish and oversee Project Cassandra, said the Obama White House “ripped apart” their efforts.

“This was a policy decision, it was a systematic decision,” Asher said. “They serially ripped apart this entire effort that was very well supported and resourced, and it was done from the top down.”

The closer Obama got to cementing the Iran nuclear deal, Asher said, the more difficult it was to conduct their investigation into Hezbollah activities.

Obama let the chance to shut down Hezbollah’s drug trafficking operation, putting the lives of American youth at risk, in order to cement his legacy in the fatally flawed Iran nuclear deal. As Josh Meyer detailed in Politico:

But as Project Cassandra reached higher into the hierarchy of the conspiracy, Obama administration officials threw an increasingly insurmountable series of roadblocks in its way, according to interviews with dozens of participants who in many cases spoke for the first time about events shrouded in secrecy, and a review of government documents and court records. When Project Cassandra leaders sought approval for some significant investigations, prosecutions, arrests and financial sanctions, officials at the Justice and Treasury departments delayed, hindered or rejected their requests.

The Justice Department declined requests by Project Cassandra and other authorities to file criminal charges against major players such as Hezbollah’s high-profile envoy to Iran, a Lebanese bank that allegedly laundered billions in alleged drug profits, and a central player in a U.S.-based cell of the Iranian paramilitary Quds force. And the State Department rejected requests to lure high-value targets to countries where they could be arrested.

Coupled with his material aid and comfort to the Taliban, Obama’s obstruction of justice in shutting down Hezbollah’s drug-running operation and failing to prosecute those running it constitutes crimes against the United States worthy of investigation, prosecution and, yes, incarceration.

ISIS metastasized and spread across the world while Obama was president. He also flooded the US with Muslim refugees in an attempt to ‘fundamentally transform America’.

The Muslim Brotherhood also routinely waltzed into the White House to have meetings with Obama.

The order was previously banned in China and Myanmar. The Obama Admininistration was forcing them out of the United States.

The religious order claimed the so-called contraception mandate in ObamaCare made it impossible for them to continue their work in the United States.

Would a Christian really target nuns and other Christians while aiding and abetting Satanic groups and terrorist organizations? No way.

Just a reminder: Josh Meyer pulled back the curtain not just on Obama's sabotaging of Project Cassandra with his investigative report; he also helped clarify exactly what this Iranian regime really is: a gang of criminal thugs.

If you watched Obama's implementation of his foreign policy from the start of his 1st term in 2009, you immediately noticed all of it was predicated on a massive reduction of American influence/leadership around the world.

In the Middle East, his shaping of his foreign policy began with what has now been coined his 'Apology Tour' as he went around to various Middle Eastern countries and basically apologized for past American actions and promised America would now stay home.

I and many others at the time pointed out immediately how dangerous and short sighted this was. The 'Pax Americana' that American influence around the world exerted kept a lot of rogue regimes in check.

Obama either did not grasp this or actively rejected it.

What Obama ended up doing with the deliberate withdrawal of American power and influence around the world was to create a massive power vacuum.

He seemed to have some benighted idea that the UN would step up and fill the vacuum he was creating and replace America's leadership.

After Obama spent the four years of his first term clearly signaling American withdrawal and appeasement, in his second term the bill started coming due as rogue regimes rushed in to fill the vacuum he'd created.

Having taken Obama's full measure, Putin launched his invasion of the Ukraine, something he NEVER would have done if he'd known there'd be any kind of real US response.

Having done a complete pull out of Iraq, Obama then scoffed at the rise of ISIS by calling it 'the JV team'.

Having toppled Ghadaffi in Libya, Obama/Hillary then small-footprinted the aftermath to the point 1 terrorist attack caused a complete and total US pullout.

Obama compounded his errors by then fixating his entire second term on making his nuclear deal with Iran.

To get that deal done, Obama and his team lied incessantly both to Congress and the American people.

Obama touted his nuclear deal as if it was actually going to help 'contain' Iran and make it a more 'moderate' regime and lessen it's import of terrorism around the Middle East and stop its spreading of proxy wars.

As time has passed, we've learned more and more about things Obama and team hid from the public and Congress. In fact, there's a strong evidence the Obama White House actually spied illegally on members of Congress and leaked classified info to the media to help pass the Deal.

Once the Iran Deal was secured, every single thing Obama had promised would happen turned out to be false.

Iran started another proxy war in Yemen. It escalated its involvement in Syria. It continued right on testing and launching ballistic missiles.

Over the past two years time and again more information/side deals that Team Obama hid from everyone about this Deal has surfaced.

As Iran kept defiantly launching ballistic missiles, Obama and Co. pontificated that these weren't really violations of the Deal.

Now thanks to a stunning investigative report from Josh Meyer at Politico, we now know about something else Obama and his team did to ensure the passage of the Iran Deal: the sabotaging of Project Cassandra to allow Hezbollah to move drugs and arms unchecked.

Literally all of Obama's foreign policy his 8 years in office in relation to Iran, Russia, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Turkey, it's all predicated on how it affected his Iran Deal.

The brutal truth that the DNC Media won't tell you is this: Because Iran is a Russian-backed proxy state, Obama gave Russia and Iran free reign in the Ukraine, Syria, Yemen and Iraq.

Hundreds of thousands of people died because of this.

He can't enforce a red line in Syria because that would make Iran and Russia mad and kill the Iran deal.

He can't act in Yemen for the same reason.

Or in the Ukraine.

It's also why he can't allow moves against Hezbollah, to stop its drugs and arms trade.

Obama spent eight years virtually paralyzed because he was scared of doing anything whatsoever that might antagonized Putin or the Mullahs and thereby kill any chance at getting the Iran Deal done.

This included watching our Navy sailors being grabbed by the Iranians.

We got a big preview of Obama's paralysis in 2009 when the Green Revolution arose in Iran and Obama wouldn't even give the Iranian people crying out for freedom even tepid, token support.

Americans who'd watched Ronald Reagan throw his enthusiastic public and moral support behind Lech Walesa and Solidarity in Poland were treated to the spectacle of Obama insisting he wasn't about to 'meddle' with internal Iranian politics.

In the past year, our new President, Donald Trump, has had to consciously work to reverse and undo much of the damage Obama has caused around the world.

In addition to rejecting Obama's micromanagement of the US military, President Trump has put the world on notice we intend to take back our leadership role that Obama abdicated.

Trump has adopted a policy of providing support to our allies in the Middle East. Instead of leading the way and dictating to other countries, we remain in a support role while the locals do the heavy lifting.

In a new support role, the US has helped the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) lead the way in rolling back all the gains ISIS made in Iraq and Syria, culminating in the liberation of Mosul and Raqqa.

While Obama blubbered about decades that would be spent in a long war against ISIS, Trump unleashed James Mattis... and our allies rolled up the Islamic State and ended the threat of a terrorist state in less than nine months.

Unlike Obama, Trump has no compelling reason to stay out of Putin or the Mullah's way. Which is why we are sending arms to Ukraine to help them defend themselves against Russian aggression, and why the Iran Deal will soon be scrapped.

Now that another mass protest movement has sprang to life inside Iran, the world shall see a marked contrast between how Obama handled Iranians calling out for freedom and democracy vs how Trump will handle it.

All the usual suspects are now telling Trump to do what Obama did: bite his lip, stay silent and don't 'meddle' in Iranian affairs.

Well the usual suspects are going to be disappointed. Trump will go the route of Reagan when it comes to supporting people crying out for freedom from an oppressive, terrorist and criminal regime.

He will not go the Obama route.

There is an old expression, "a fish rots from the head down," meaning that in any organization, leadership sets the tone. For better or for worse. Where does the DOJ-FBI rot begin?

The Trump-Russia collusion investigation is on life support. After months of investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his army of highly partisan investigators, spending millions of taxpayer dollars, all Mueller has to show for his efforts is a handful of process crimes that have nothing to do with the original allegations that the Trump campaign worked with Putin to influence the 2016 election.

With 90 percent of media coverage negative toward President Trump, you can be certain that if Trump conspired with Russia to hack the election, these same media would have long ago found evidence of collusion. But they haven't, have they? Instead, they hyperventilate over nonsense, such as a truck blocking their view of Trump's golf course, now a three-day story for CNN.

In reality, the only collusion was a bunch of Obama imbeds, scheming and conspiring to drag their coughing and collapsing candidate across the finish line by interfering with the right of Americans to choose their next president. Then there was a bogus dossier, created as opposition research, used by the FBI and DOJ as a "national security matter" to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on candidate Trump and his family and associates.

The conspiracy was legion, with many agency heads and upper managers working together to undermine an election. After failing to undermine the election, they then concocted the collusion story to justify a special counsel, staffed with the same Obama administration imbeds, to cover their illegal tracks. Gateway Pundit compiled a long list of bad actors and actresses participating in this melodrama.

Who's the head of the rotten fish? Former attorney general Loretta Lynch? She met with Bill Clinton on the airport tarmac ahead of the election, directing FBI director James Comey to exonerate candidate Hillary Clinton over "gross negligence" in her handling of classified emails.

Or is Comey the head of the fish, as FBI director, tying himself and the law into a pretzel to excuse Mrs. Clinton's criminal behavior? What about Mueller when he was FBI director, giving a pass to Fast and Furious, the Clinton Foundation, and the Uranium One deal?

How about former A.G. Eric Holder, directing his energies to another bogus narrative, "hands up, don't shoot," rather than voter fraud and the same illegalities that Mueller ignored as FBI director?

Is Hillary Clinton the head of the fish? Close, but no cigar. She had her share of scandals with her Clinton Foundation, Uranium One, and her overall "pay to play" approach to public service as secretary of state. But during her ramp up to running for president, she was not a government employee, despite her family tentacles reaching into many dark recesses of the Deep State.

Her campaign did commission and pay for the phony dossier, but it was beyond her power and influence to convince the DOJ and FBI to dress up the dossier as legitimate intelligence worthy of a major counterintelligence effort, including domestic surveillance.

These players could not have behaved as they did without the approval of the head of the fish, the occupant of the Oval Office – none other than President Barack Obama. Whether explicit or implicit, his directions were crystal-clear to his underlings – his attorney general, his FBI director, his IRS commissioner, and all the other agency heads serving at his pleasure.

No one working in the Obama administration would take on such chicanery and corruption on his own. This all had the blessing of the boss. Don't expect a smoking gun – a videotape of Obama directing his underlings to buy a salacious dossier, gussy it up as an intelligence report, convince a FISA court to permit wiretapping of American citizens, all in an effort to thwart an election. Maybe there are some incriminating emails floating around, assuming they haven't been wiped from someone's server or hidden from congressional investigators.

But make no mistake that none of this would have happened without the approval of the boss man in the Oval Office. If his standard were to respect law and electoral tradition, none of this would have happened. Yet his name is conspicuously absent from lists and photo montages of Deep-Staters working for Mueller or recently "reassigned" to less visible positions within the swamp.

Will a former president ever be held accountable for such misdeeds? Fat chance. Bill Clinton, despite the wave of sexual harassment and abuse stories of the past few months, is still a darling of the Democratic Party.

The DOJ OIG report is due in mid-January. Will this report be a reckoning for President Trump against the swamp? Will lower-tier players squeal on their superiors to stay out of prison? Will the thousands of sealed indictments see the light of day, served against the guilty? Or will it be another whitewash, typical of the swamp protecting its serpents?

I believe the former but fear the latter. And I am under no illusions that the former president will be held to account, despite serving as the captain of this corrupt ship for eight years.

It's easy to blame Lynch, Comey, Mueller, and their underlings, but they are only the body of the rotting fish. Not the head. It's fine to look at the rotting fish body, but answers and accountability come only when the focus is on the rotting head. Maybe next month, we start dissecting the rotting fish.

We've had 2 presidents in my life time that I think were decent, not that I agree with them on every issue, one was assasinated and the other had an attempt on his life.

Dont matter to me what label they carry, they all can potentially rob you of your rights. There's no doubt the media turned a blind eye to both Clintons and Obama, thats only because 90% of them are Marxist themselves. Nixon, both Bushes, the Clintons, and Obama are all negative in my mind. I voted for Trump, hope he doesn't give in to the political machine in DC. Only time will tell but I hope Trump will be a positive figure. Of course no president will be perfect in their term.

I do believe the moral fiber of our nation is very important but there's no doubt the economy would flourish without the restraints of the government and the likes of the Federal Reserve, ect.

Far from content living his golden years on the $400,000 speech and lecture circuit of other former presidents, President Obama has been busy with clawing back his old power. That's the word from DCWhispers, which reports that Obama's Kalorama mansion, in the heart of the capital's toniest district, is the center of significant comings and goings among the Obamatons, who, led by his consigliere, Valerie Jarrett, are busily raising funds for the project as Obama eggs them on.

The Obama Machine has in recent months been raking in tens of millions in preparation for a significant 2018 [m]idterm war effort – primarily through an LLC called Citizen 44, run by Paulette Aniskoff, a longtime Obama staffer who answers directly to Jarrett. Citizen 44's primary purpose is to keep the 2008 and 2012 Obama campaign machine intact, continue to build up its state-by-state influence, and use it as an election entity that will rival the influence of the DNC itself. In short, any Democrat of importance who hopes to rise in rank will have to kiss the ring of Citizen 44 first.

Knowing how Obama's campaign organization was run, with its slipshod accounting of foreign cash infusions and phony claims to be running on small-dollar donations, it's probable that this operation is as shady as all the other ones. In fact, it is all the other ones. DCWhispers reports that it comprises almost entirely Obama's leftover and not dead campaign apparatus.

It's a disgusting picture for any ex-presidency.

What we are looking at right now is a third-world coup-plotting effort, done under legal pretenses (just as Hugo Chávez did everything under legal pretenses), to oust a sitting president. It's unprecedented. When have we ever seen an ex-president acting like this, spending his post-presidency determined to consolidate and continue his rule, if not the conventional way, then the subterranean way? Did Nixon do that? Did LBJ? Did Jimmy Carter? Heck, did either of the George Bushes? Imagine Jerry Ford doing that!

What we have here is the creepy specter of an embittered ex-president trying to restore his legacy after angry voters elected someone else who would dismantle the unpopular doings of his administration. It almost sounds like a plot for one of the better television shows.

It's also a nefarious thing for the U.S. republic, signaling that the old era of political pendulum swings and peaceful transitions of power are now over. We now have the specter of ex-presidents in the shadows openly plotting to oust their successors. It's happening because Obama doesn't think he should be out of power – repeatedly during his administration, he would make little references to his willingness to serve a third term. It's a leftist thing, a belief that "history is on our side" and "history will absolve me," and progress in the direction the left decrees is "inevitable" that likely makes him think he's entitled to rule forever.

And don't dismiss that his lip-curdling contempt for President Trump is part of it, too. Get a load of these early descriptions of encounters between Obama and Trump, dating to 2011. Obama mocked Trump at a press correspondents' dinner, and Trump refused to go along with the then-president's kingly jokes. At that time, the press toadies were saying "Obama ripped Trump a new one," which is the dynamic we see now. Trump, refusing to humor Obama by laughing at his jokes, instead ran for president in the aftermath...and won. That has to burn Obama, who must remember the incident and how it triggered his successor, and now he is bitterly plotting his revenge.

It's tinhorn dictator stuff, and it needs to be called out.

A week after the election, groups inside and outside the government, some calling themselves Obama Anonymous, had begun meeting to plan the “resistance” to Trump. Unlike the angry protesters in the streets, this resistance wasn’t a new organization. It consisted of Washington D.C. government lifers.

At the CFPB, there was a group calling itself Dumbledore’s Army. Within the FBI and the DOJ, there was a nameless “secret society”. Its details are being derived from text messages exchanged between Peter Strzok, a disgraced member of Mueller’s team, and his mistress, Lisa Page, who worked for FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. Previous Strzok texts had spoken of taking out “insurance” against a Trump win. This was all the more significant since Strzok had investigated Hillary and interviewed Flynn. He was a crucial figure in both the investigations of Hillary Clinton and President Trump.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy revealed that the day after Trump won the election, texts between Strzok and Page suggested, “Perhaps this is the first meeting of the secret society.”

Like the CFPB’s Dumbldore’s Army, the reference may have been meant to make the conspiracy seem more lighthearted, but joking names for secret organizations within the government don’t make their dangerously subversive nature a laughing matter. Meanwhile many of the text messages from Strzok and Page have fallen victim to the same technical glitch that claimed Lois Lerner’s emails, Hillary’s emails and the video where Obama’s State Department spokeswoman admitted lying to the media about Iran.

The missing text messages from members of the FBI’s secret society cover the five months where President Trump took office and the Mueller investigation to remove him from that office began.

The DOJ and FBI secret society, Dumbledore’s Army and Obama Anonymous are all holdovers from a radical administration that was obsessed with protecting its secrets and destroying its enemies.

In the summer of ’07, Obama promised that his would be the most transparent administration in history. "The real business of our democracy isn't done in town halls or public meetings or even in the open halls of Congress," he had complained. "Decisions are made in closed-door meetings, or with the silent stroke of the President's pen."

Then he went on to preside over a regime where the “stroke of the President’s pen” outweighed Congress. The real decisions weren’t even made in cabinet meetings, but with a close circle of advisers, like Ben Rhodes, whose proceedings weren’t revealed to the public.

Top administration figures like Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Attorney General Eric Holder, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson and the IRS’ Lois Lerner used secret email accounts to avoid transparency leading to major scandals. It was no coincidence that they were also at the center of some of the administration’s worst abuses.

"We've used openness to promote accountability," Cass Sunstein, Obama's regulatory chief, bragged. But when Sunstein communicated with the EPA's Lisa Jackson, he emailed her Richard Windsor alias.

“This is the most transparent administration in history,” Obama declared in ’13.

Shortly thereafter, he was using the NSA to spy on members of Congress opposed to his deal with Iran. Three years later, he was caught secretly smuggling a fortune in foreign currency on unmarked cargo planes to Iran. That same year, his close associate, Ben Rhodes, bragged to the New York Times about their control of the media. “We created an echo chamber.” The “echo chamber” was its own secret society of media people who would be coordinated together to push White House narratives.

Paranoia and secrecy had always been Obama’s primal instincts. The administration had obsessively pursued leakers and whistleblowers. It ushered in a record number of prosecutions under the 1917 Espionage Act. “The greatest enemy of press freedom in a generation,” was how the New York Times’ James Risen described the administration after spending seven years battling government subpoenas.

Former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson claimed that her computer had been hacked into. FOX News reporter James Rosen had his telephone records collected. The IRS was used to target political opponents. And then the NSA was deployed against Obama’s domestic political opponents.

The abuses came to a head with the rise of Trump. The “real business of our democracy” had become a threat to the secret societies inside and outside the government that had mushroomed under Obama. The endless czars of the bureaucracy, the apparatchiks brought in to dismantle and transform the government across each agency, were not about to let the voters overturn eight years of hard work.

The DOJ and the FBI had always been major priorities for Obama Inc. Under Holder and then Lynch, the Justice Department was transformed from a tool for fighting crime and terrorism into a vehicle for radical social change. This more obvious social agenda, which cost thousands of American lives from the spiraling homicide rates of Baltimore to the Pulse massacre in Orlando, hid a darker political agenda.

The hijacking of the DOJ wasn’t just about destroying policing and counterterrorism. Holder and Lynch became notorious for covering up Barack Obama’s and then Hillary Clinton’s scandals. Holder was held in contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over documents in the Fast and Furious scandal. Lynch’s claim that her extended tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton during the investigation of his wife was a chat about their grandchildren took political cynicism to a new low. Lynch’s emails about the meeting were sent using the alias “Elizabeth Carlisle” in the most transparent administration in history.

But Obama’s DOJ didn’t just play defense. It also went after political opponents. Especially Trump.

We don’t know what, if any, tactics were deployed against the Romney campaign. That is one of the things that a comprehensive investigation of the Obama years should look into. The collapse of Romney’s ORCA application at a crucial moment may have helped throw the election to Obama. But we already know some of the measures that Obama Inc. took against the Trump campaign.

The Hillary campaign had funded the creation of the Steele dossier. The discredited document was injected into the DOJ and FBI through Fusion GPS, a secretive organization which bridged the gap between opposition research, the media and the government. The dossier was used to justify a FISA warrant for eavesdropping on Trump officials and then the Mueller investigation.

But the Steele dossier was only a product. Handling it required special interest groups within the DOJ and the FBI. We’re learning the names of some of those people. There was Bruce Ohr, the former associate deputy attorney general, whose wife had been hired by Fusion GPS to conduct anti-Trump research and who had contacted the author of the Steele dossier. There were Strzok and Page.

And there were many others.

The FISA warrants, the NSA eavesdropping, the Clinton and Trump investigations and all the other abuses of Obama Inc. required numerous allies within the Department of Justice. Some of these allies might have spoken seriously or facetiously about operating within a secret society. But all of them did.

The secret society they were part of was the one created by Obama in his eight years in office.

The society had no name, but it had an agenda. It operated within the government. And it existed to advance leftist causes, protect political allies and destroy political enemies. Some call it the Deep State or the Shadow Government. But it is most clearly and blatantly, the left. It lurks within the government. It is the swamp. And if we don’t drain it, we’ll drown in it the way the Russians and the Chinese did.
