I had some whale last year. A friend brought some sausage from Norway. It was delicious.

I’ve eaten porpoise before. Not bad. One way was boiled with vegetables and that was good. The other way the old Italian commercial fisherman dried it. That was not good. It would have helped had he sliced it thin and seasoned it. Smelt like a jar of salmon eggs and tasted like what I think it would taste like.

Think it's fake, notice how the fin is drooping.

As long as it doesn't have a name it's ok.

Thumper is wrong! He shot it for real. If you look closer you can see the entry hole on top of his head! Duh!

I ain't sayin', I'm just say'in...I heard it was a 88 yard shot!

Good point, Spike. But only in tanks so small they must swim around in one direction. The tell tale sign would be one extremely large eye. The other would be of normal size.

Why does that guy look like Rowdy Dowdy? Whose whale is it really? :)

He better field dress it and haul off the meat before the bears find it. That whale would be like Viagra to bears.

I wonder if you can kill a dead whale with field points?

Arent curved dorsal fins a side effect of them being in captivity?

No, they come in all shapes and sizes, not sure if it is from injury or what but have seen it before off of Vancouver Island chasing salmon.

Or maybe he had a "dorsal job" done. Too bad we can't see how the fin would bounce (or IF).............. ;-)

It was a legal kill, killed in self-defense when he was swimming to his hunting spot!

I actually did see one of Jim Shockey's hunting shows where he was hunting some type of whale with some natives. They shot them with rifles as they swam by the ice that they were on.

Anyone ever see the movie Orca when they were a kid? That movie messed me up worse than Jaws. Orcas just creep me out.

I remember that movie. Vengeful varmits. First time I ever saw one was in the 70s when I was commercial fishing. I didn’t like that they would put their heads out of the water to look at us. Those with bent over dorsals are nascar whales. It’s from going CCW all the time. If you look all of them bend over the same direction. Also research money is needed to see if it’s from second hand smoke. It’s well documented that it causes erectial disfunction in humans. This has been referred to as “FF” in whales. “Flaccid Fluke”.
