I like the comfort duck though.

Especially with an orange-glaze sauce. VERY comforting.

I can see Pat returning from his next hunt, cape and antlers on the seat next to him. "that's my Emotional Support Whitetail, scores 200 P&Y. No worries, that blood will wipe right off".

It is a problem not just for airlines. These people force their animals on everyone. For example, a landlord can no longer enforce a "no pets" policy because residents just claim their pet is a service animal and the landlord's hands are tied.

Maybe we need to start taking our favorite mounted animal with us because it comforts us by helping relive the successful hunt.

I wonder if body lice can be considered "comfort animals"?

I am sorry for lacking empathy, but if your mental illness is such that you need a parakeet to soothe your frayed emotions during a flight, I don't want to be ensconced in a flying tube, strapped in a seat with you. That goes for the crazy cat lady infected with toxoplasmosis, thinking her litter box clothes have a pleasant odor, the guinea pig guy, anyone with a purse dog, the weirdo with a rat for a pet and the saltwater crocodile aficionado too.

If flying is that traumatic... Don't fly.

When, as a society, do we finally draw the line and say enough's enough?

I have a comfort Gator that does not like anti hunters and protects me from any verbal attacks. It also likes comfort dogs, cats and ducks.

I could use a comfort hooker (can't afford a porn star...) every now and then....... but alas I am denied due to threats of taking half my stuff....... that's just not fair......

If you're not blind, you don't need a service animal. The airlines should tell him the duck can fly for free, your ticket is $40,000.00

I'd rather sit by a duck than some fat woman with bad breath..

I flew home from Saskatchewan a couple years ago with a whole flock of comfort ducks and no one said a word. Of course they were frozen, double bagged, and inside a duffle bag. When I grilled them later they were very comforting to my growling belly!!! Weirdos everywhere you look these days!

My wife and I train legitimate service dogs for disabled, PTSD, etc. and this kind of crap just makes it harder all around. There should be a license, or something similar, issued for them to help separate the wheat from the chaff. Need to change some of the existing laws to do that.

"What kind of person needs a ‘comfort dog’: we really are turning into a bunch of pansies."

We PCA for an autistic young man. It was 5 years of preparation to get him on a plane. If a 'comfort dog' could have gotten him on that plane in a year, I would have been all for it.

did not realize we had so many mental health doctors posting on this site.
