Awesome. As a small business owner less taxes is a godsent. Cut government..... I dealt with 8 different government agencies last week from local to federal. To much is too much... first time I voted in 47 years. Go Trump!!!!!!

And you assume that none of us do anything for the hungry, sick, elderly and kids in our towns? Perhaps you should consider that it might be possible for lots of people to make positive impacts without sharing your fervent need to virtue signal... Haven't yet seen what my taxes will be for this year but I did notice my last paycheck (I get paid once a month) was some higher. I am on the lower end of the middle class range also. I hope as things improve (and I believe they are), my elderly parents will be better able to afford their medicine and insurance. They started having problems affording insurance after Obama care kicked in. This is in spite of Medicare and Dad's VA insurance he gets due to his WWII service. We kids would love to help and do try, but there is only so much we can do since I am the only one not of retirement age.
My folks still heat entirely with wood because they can't afford to put in a heating system. We actually qualified for government help most of the time I was growing up on the farm but my parents would have none of that, they could and did work to make ends meet. Welfare was (and still should be), for those who can't work (not won't work) and make ends meet. We didn't have a lot but we appreciated what we had and STILL DO even if it isn't much.
So Freeglee, stuff a sock in it. I'm fed up with your whining.
Serious question for all you guys that throw out the “Federal Subsidation” of high tax states. When the citizens of a state pay more in federal tax than they get back, how does that amount to a federal subsidy? Seriously...just trying to understand the arithmetic and what it means for a state to be subsidized?

The new tax law, by ending the deduction for high local taxes, exposes those states. How about New York, California, Connecticut, et al, slashing their budgets and lowering taxes on their residents instead of whining? You know damn well that they have a bunch of unnecessary stuff in their budgets. And lowering state taxes would also result in less government interference, both of which would help their local economies. There's a reason Toyota spent a ton of money leaving California for Frisco, TX. And it's a darn good one.

I won't be getting a tax break because I'm blessed.
However, I would pay my old tax rate under the guise of this post as long as you admit you sold your soul to support a man who goes against every Christian value. I can always make more money but I can show my kids that even if the other choice is terrible you still don't make a bad choice. There's always other options.
