Sad commentary on the future of our country...most of our elected officials are more worried about re-election than keeping their oath to protect and defend the Constitution. I predict that we will see the beginning of the deconstruction of the foundation of this country.
God bless, Steve

"..."Can you believe these kids?" It’s been a recurring theme of the coverage of the Parkland school shooting: the remarkable effectiveness of the high school students who created a gun control organization in the wake of the massacre. In seemingly no time, the magical kids had organized events ranging from a national march to a mass school walkout, and they'd brought in a million dollars in donations from Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney.
The Miami Herald credited their success to the school's stellar debate program. The Wall Street Journal said it was because they were born online, and organizing was instinctive.
On February 28, BuzzFeed came out with the actual story: Rep. Debbie Wassermann Schultz aiding in the lobbying in Tallahassee, a teacher’s union organizing the buses that got the kids there, Michael Bloomberg's groups and the Women’s March working on the upcoming March For Our Lives, MoveOn.org doing social media promotion and (potentially) march logistics, and training for student activists provided by federally funded Planned Parenthood.
The president of the American Federation of Teachers told BuzzFeed they're also behind the national school walkout, which journalists had previously assured the public was the sole work of a teenager. (I'd thought teachers were supposed to get kids into school, but maybe that’s just me.)
In other words, the response was professionalized..."

Did they get them some weed too? LHCA would be thrilled with that.

"...Public schools using American children to support Democrat political action against civil rights. Sent by a Mayor who is heading the murder capital of the country..."
It’s for the children.
Via Down Trend:
The invasion of the state of Florida by hordes of anti-gun activists seeking to capitalize on the tragic mass murder at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School is an example of how big liberal money and ideology is destroying this country from within.
The ongoing refusal of the California crazies to accept the results of a legitimate election has led to the mobilization of tens of thousands of interchangeable morons who show up in mass street protests with the only difference being the signs that they are carrying.
The next big phony grassroots uprising is slated to take place on the weekend of March 24th when hundreds of thousands of organized, well-financed and politically backed demonstrators will show up in Washington D.C. and all fifty states for events advocating for the rollback of the Second Amendment.
One of those who continues to fund what can only be described as sedition and a de facto domestic color revolution is Hillary Clinton supporter and impeachment obsessed billionaire Tom Steyer.
"My son asked if he could walk out in protest today...here's how the conversation went...
Son: is it ok if I protest on Wednesday?
Me: protest what? Why would you do that?
Son: protests initiate change; they bring awareness to the issue
Me: yes, like what...
Son: like civil rights; people had to protest for the right to vote, etc (he went on)
Me: that's true! Protests can be a great catalyst. So what are you protesting?
Son: gun laws
Me: and what are the current gun laws?
Son: I don't know, but they need to change
Me: how do you know that if you don't know what they are? Who makes the gun laws? Whose attention are you trying to get? State, federal, local...?
Son: I don't know
Me: then no, you may not protest in ignorance. You don't protest something just bc everyone else is doing it. What is happening in our schools is wrong, and scary, and sad, and yes, some things need to change. But you must educate yourself before you can be an agent of change.
...I'm all about protesting for change, for justice, and being passionate about a cause; I'm not about blindly following the crowd in ignorance..."
One school told students that they would not be allowed to walk out. Instead, an activity time that was scheduled for that time was re-directed toward small group discussions where students were encouraged to share what they feels makes them safe at school and what can be done within the school to increase safety. Some teachers said that students were thoughtful and had a good discussion of potential solutions that could be implemented within the school.
Another school knew that some students planned a walk-out. Teachers were instructed to turn them in as absent. The absences would be unexcused with the normal consequences for unexcused absence from class.
