That thread about proof of citizenship got me thinking about this.

Wherever you guys vote, who checks you in and out?

My local polling station is the elementary school about a mile from my house. They have things set up great - it's efficient, and they check you in and out ASAP. What amazes me though, is that the average age of those doing the check in and out part of the process is like 85. They are also hugely female. I mean, there MIGHT be 1 guy out of say 20 folks running the process.

It makes me wonder, will the next wave of retiring folks fill those shoes? Because if not, it really leaves one to wonder how the voting process may change...

I live in a Community of about 200. There are a couple of mean old lady "watchdogs" at the Community Center, that check everyone's ID (by Drivers License).

I always thank them!

We just use the honor system. Sign in, take a ballot, and run it through the scanner.

Oh, and get one of the “I voted today “ stickers.

It’s a nice rural community and a good place to live.

If I come in during the day when most Republicans are at work nobody checks anything. If it's before or after normal business hours then I have to show my ID.

I pass a few 50’s to the lady behind the table as I escort a few illegals into a booth. It’s tough but totally worth it! I do a few runs throughout the day until I run out of gas. Then I use the Soros credit card to fuel up again. Afterward we head down to the socialists headquarters and laugh. Good times.

Paulabe must get to vote 35+ times, and in Connecticut, Pennsylvania and most of the other 54 Obama states.

I vote at the local fire house and there’s usually 3-4 ladies. 2 in there 50’s and 2 70 plus. Last time there was a 24 year old dude.

I drive the 1.6 miles to town and park at the fire station. I sign a paper and don't have to show anything since i have lived near there for 76 years and they know me. Then my wife and I get our I voted stickers.

We vote at the firehouse now since the Community Building next door didn't meet the new requirements a few years ago. 3-4 ladies and 1-2 men mostly retirement age work the polls. One at least every time is some of my kinfolk and the rest I know, (usually, there was one I didn't know last presidential election). They still make me show my id because it is the law in Arkansas.

We vote 'often' in Illinois during ALL elections! The finest 'state' in all America! We are also "Ate Up" with Dem. voters and I think 2 of our past governors are still in prison! (should be more) ...

I usually walk into the Township shed and say, "Hello ladies, how are you all doing today?" They usually respond politely, and with jolly form with questions like, "How is that little boy of yours doing?" Then I sign the sheet and walk over and vote. The women typically range in age from about 30 to about 80, and sometimes there are younger kids there to "help".... rural America.

Interesting note on the signs. I think we've had signs reasonably close to our polling place, but probably not so close to be against the rules?? Either way, you have to pass by said signs to actually get to the polling place because it near the middle of a 3/4 Section. Not that our votes matter!

Mine is a drive up Ballot box, next to the drive up mail box at the USPS.

The mailman! Always have and always will do absentee...The less I have to see these idiots Lib/Dems around here (CA), the better I like it!!!

I usually stand near the door with a baseball bat waiting on something like Paulz's Clown Car to pull up and a couple dozen clowns come piling out of it...... No worries, Obama/Holder told me it was OK to do that.....

Usually retired folks run the show..... most folks who would step up are at work. But at our polling place there are also several kids, like high school kids (Schools are closed), helping out doing things like looking up names on the registration sheets, hauling boxes and bags of stuff around (maybe out to somebodies trunk to be "found" later....) etc. We have to show ID, the adults handled that. I don't think there will be any issues with younger folks (as they retire) stepping up as the older ones step down.

The one constant will be they aren't working that day.

In NY signs are required to be a minimum of 100ft.

No ID required for me at my local fire hall in a little country town in WNY. Usually it is local women from both parties signing people in.

Rural township hall...and my neighbor still checks my ID and asks me to verify my registration information.

A lady asks my name and checks to see I am registered. Another lady checks my ID, and a 3rd lady hands me a ballot. Before I put it into the box, I go through another IDing. Takes about 5 minutes. If you get there early you can vote at least a dozen times. That last sentence was a lie. We get a lot of camp owners trying to vote.

One of my old school teachers. He hands me my ballot and says good to see ya!
